I like Moore as a 4-3 DE prospect. Wouldn't hate it if we traded back into the first for Tyler Wilson

And BlackBob gets owned yet again.

Unless we are trading back into the top 10, I don't think he's gonna be available.

It's what you just described.

I've read that it's a degenerative disease. He also said that he was retiring because of concussions.

It's narrowing of the column around the spinal cord. It puts alot of pressure on the spinal cord, which can lead to back problems and numbness.

Fair point, keep in mind that it was a neck injury combined with multiple concussions that brought about his early retirement...not spinal stenosis.

You don't think there's a link between a narrowing of his spine and the fact he's had 2 neck surgeries?

Pin Head 01-04-2013 06:30 PM

I've read that it's simillar to having a herniated disc in terms of the pressure that pushes down on nerves in the spinal cord.

O.city 01-04-2013 06:31 PM

Stenosis of the spine normally occurs higher up, more at the skull base where nerves come out.

And IIRC, herniated discs can cause it to occur.

NOT THE ANSWER: Teams looking to answer their QB question aren't going to find one in the 2013 draft

1) Geno Smith, West Virginia

Smith faltered down the stretch against the tougher defenses of the Big 12; scouts started to have concerns about his ability to find his secondary options in the route progression when opponents take away his primary receiver with blanket coverage. He struggled to consistently identify the open receiver in games against Oklahoma, Kansas State and Texas Tech, a trend that continued in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl against Syracuse. Although Smith completed 66.7 percent of his passes with two touchdowns and zero interceptions, he was sacked three times and repeatedly looked confused when the Orange took away his No. 1 option. As a result, Syracuse blew out West Virginia, 38-14.

Pro comparison: Jason Campbell

Kindly go jump off a cliff.

I think the two are directly related.

O.city 01-04-2013 06:33 PM

And where are we playing Jones if we do take him? He's a 34 OLB.

Is he gonna be depth? Or do you start him over Tamba or Houston?

Again, if you have a sensible pick for the Chiefs other than QB at #1 overall, I'm all ears.

For me, nothing but QB makes sense at this point.

Also, I'm not liking this.

Nick Jacobs ‏@Jacobs71
Geno Smith and Matt Barkley still haven't accepted invites to the Senior Bowl.

Pasta Little Brioni 01-04-2013 06:41 PM

Bob, why do you keep making mults when I don't even think your Woodsponge account was banned? We always know when it's you.
