Anderson has zero interest in the MU job as long as Alden is the AD.

Tenn. seems to be all in on Mike White if rumors and reports from this morning are true...interesting.

KChiefs1 04-20-2014 02:20 PM

I'm hearing Ben Howland is the choice

Which is fine. Because Alden has zero interest in hiring Kim Anderson as the men's basketball coach.

Fine be me if that happens ...obviously with Smart or Marshall not in it
Also like younger candidates too

As long as Howland doesn't let the inmates start running the asylum like happened at the end of his UCLA tenure he's an excellent choice. He's had more success than Norm's overrated ass ever did.

DeezNutz 04-20-2014 04:11 PM

Trading Haith for Howland would be theft.

Where did you hear that? I haven't seen any real gossip on candidates yet. Howland would be a huge upgrade over Haith no doubt about that.

I will never understand Missouri's fascination with Norm Stewart. He was the Marty Schottenheimer of college basketball at best.

He ran into issues when he started trying to recruit blue chip guys only. He was better off with the mid-tier 4-stars who fit his system and the high 3-stars who fit his system.

I imagine at Missouri he'd have a hard time getting blue chippers, period.

He sure was, all the one and dones he had was ridiculous. Plus he used to run certain players off, I never really liked Norm tbh.

ROFL

Sorry, but I couldn't help but laugh at the bold part.

Dude, they have been standing out on the book of irrelevancy for sometime.

See, you are the reason why everyone hates KU fans...

I was talking to a booster who said they had heard Alden had taken a call from Howland.

CoMoChief 04-20-2014 05:11 PM

Howland is the splash MU needs to make to give life back into their bball program. At least it gives hope and puts more butts in the seats at the Paige. I don't think Howland is any more/less corrupt than the next guy at a large BCS school sports program, but there has to be at least "some" discipline on the team, something that MU obviously lacked and it's also an issue that ended up resulting in (or had a huge part of) Howland's departure at UCLA.

Yup.Still infinitely more relevant than that dumpster fire football program they have. But, but, but no beaker ever posts in an MU thread
