Be sure and get the tall wall and you don't have to get a circle. I have a 18'x33' and it's been a great pool. There's a lot of turning but I can swim laps in it. For several years the maintenance was minimal. But if you ever get a leak around the skimmer or the return jet get it fixed immediately or it will rust. Also always take you a water sample to the pool store and follow their instructions. You'll have less water quality problems if you do that.
That's all I can think of at the moment. I'd say do it and then mix up some margaritas and have a pool party. |

Timely thread. I just swam in my pool today for the first time since buying the house. 16'x38' or something like that. Taking care of it's easier than I thought: run the pump 5 hours a day, dump in 3 liters of chlorine nightly, and thank God I have no overhanging trees, LOL.

Above ground pools aren't any more trashier than in ground pools. You just have to take care of both. However, with dad building his deck all the way around, his has the feel of an in ground. No climbing up to get in. :)

Got one for my daughter when she was in grade school. It was a lot of work but she had so much fun in it that it was all worth while, even learning to swim in it. I was actually relieved when I took it out after about 6 or 7 years but I'd do it again if we had another child.
