The DV decision I feel is pretty neutral. Good coach but was old and cost us a 2nd and 3rd round pick to get him. Pretty pricey considering his age. 4 years later I would still say I am pretty neutral on it. Easily argued that it was a bad decision considering 3 of the 4 years were non-playoff seasons and hasn't even won a single playoff game. But that aside I would say that Peterson's meddling with personel decisions is at the heart of DV's failure. Didn't go out and upgrade the defensive talent this past offseason, forced DV to draft LJ in the 1st round when they needed defensive help etc.etc.... As for Priest, that certianly turned out to be a huge HR....Watching the "Beyond The Glory" episode on Holmes that signing was actually Vermeil's choice or at least that is how it appeared based on what Priest said. Regardless, the same of that is despite having one of the best 2 or 3 RB's in the leauge with that signing they haven't been able to even take advantage of it and win a single playoff game. |
[QUOTE=KCTitus]Simply wonderful. Im not sure how else I can say what Ive said to you a couple of other times, but let me restate for your benefit...Im apathetic. [QUOTE]
Yeah, you did mention that a couple times. You know, I'm pretty apathetic about the Portland Trail Blazers. I'm thinking about finding a Trail Blazer BB and then spending up to 8 hours a day reading it and then poking fun at their true and passionate fans who show frustration with a team that hasn't won the Championship since the mid- 1970's. Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. |
This all depends, as we know I'm of the belief that Carl's failure is not due to apathy like many of the picketers here seem to believe, but simply just failure to execute and evaluate. I don't believe for a second that Carl doesn't care, I think that's a bit foolish, even if he was all about greed he's smart enough to realize successful playoff teams breed more money than what we have now... the guy isn't apathetic, he's done everything in his power during his term here to bring us a winner. He's had defensive juggernauts, offensive juggernauts, he drafted to build a D with guys like DT and Dale Carter, he brought in HOF veterans in Montana and Allen, he tried to put the 98 team over the top by building an defensive all-star team in free agency... he brought in Dick Vermeil and built a team through veterans nobody else wanted, I mean there isn't a thing Carl hasn't tried, and it's never come together. I think if you think picketing out in front of Arrowhead is going to make Carl draft better or not make FA acquistions like Vonnie Holliday and Carlton Gray, more power to you I guess....

Something we can all agree on...Unfortunately Hunt's apathetic approach and attitude has been contagious cause I can honestly say cared less about football and the Chiefs going into this past season than any point in my life...it obviously only got worse after the 0-3 start. |

Fans complaining yet still pouring in the financial support is about as shocking as Repubs and Demorats disagreeing on taxes and war. On a more enjoyable topic...you still playing golf? Did you ever buy you a new set of sticks? |

Still playing, but not as much as I would like...nixed the sticks cause #3 came along and I need all the cash I could get my hands on. If I started playing 2-3x per month or more, I would definately get back into the market for a whole new set, but as it is now, Im only getting out maybe once every couple of months. |

3 utes certainly leaves little time or coin for golf. |
If yall are dead set on picketing, why don't you picket the Star.
Demand they drop Whitlock & bring back Ivan Carter. Then we would know what was going on at 1 Arrowhead Drive, instead of hearing what one armcouch GM wants going on at 1 Arrowhead Drive |
