Basketball is a team game, not a I game, and as far as Kobe is concerned he is a me me me player, and that doesnt bold well with team chemistry.

You would get fired on the spot, And linched in the parking lot.

You want to flame a guy who scored 81 and single handedly brought a team back that was down double digits in the 3rd quarter?

Basketball is a win game.

When Jordan scored 69 he was a hero. When Kobe scores 81 he's a goat.

You wouldn't sit a superstar player who was on fire down the stretch. If you did, you wouldn't be a coach very long.

I'd point out that when Jordan scored 69, they actually lost to the Celtics. He wasn't a hero.

And it was only 64.

What a bunch of haters on this forum. Lookimg for a reason to hate Kobe. He will give you more reason when he starts winning playoff games again.

tk13 01-23-2006 02:57 PM

No, it was 69. It was in the playoffs... still a playoff record I do believe.

The real question is how many times has Kobe been to the playoffs without shaq.

And the answer is zero. Kobe might be the most difficult player in the league to stop, but if he has these games all season, it will wear him down too much. They fade down the stretch cause Kobe has to (or forces himself) to carry them.
Kobe might compete for that scoring crown every year, but unless he figures out how to raise the level of play of his teammates, thats as much as he will compete for.

Look who kobe has on his team NO ONe on that team is a half decent scorer What he to do? really? least before he coudl pass to shaq. Lamar Odom is SOO inconsistant itsn ot even funny. PHil doesnt even trust him. Smoosh parker? please, he is a decent player, but he isnt consistant either? Deavan George? CHris Mihm? Kwame Brown? who does he have that he can pass too and have Faith in? NO ONE!

MJ has Pippen, Paxon, Harper, THey were all solid players that can hit the open jumper. On the Lakers there is NONE of that.

So before people call anyone a ball hawg, they need to know what the **** they are talking about.

Since he has became a starter kobe has only had 1 season without Shaq, Again, before you talk shit, know what your talking about. The Lakers had a bad team last year becasue of Salary cap issues. They had no choice but to take a hit. Once they are out of the cap hell. Kobe will win a nother ring.

Damn, i wish peeps knew what the hell they were talking a bout before they open thier trap.

kcxiv 01-23-2006 03:15 PM

Also, going to my lakers forum to see if i can find a download of the game.

Edit- damn, i cant even get to the site. Site is taking a mean ass hit.

Where do these people come from Tardville? Kobe has only completed one single season whithout Shaq being on the team. how can you even say something like that?

teedubya 01-23-2006 03:42 PM

Anyone ever see the MadTV skit where Shaq kept saying "now, Kobe... don't be raping' " That shit was hilarious.

Get your facts straight, bitch.

All valid points.....but still doesnt change the fact that Kobe is the biggest prick in the NBA since Lambier.

A Talented player........ but a stupid brain. IMHO, Intentional fouls to infict injury are reason to be banned from the NBA for a year .

That's fine..I was talking about people talking shit about how he was a ball hog this game and stuff like that, when his teammates were obviously wanting him to get 80+ points. BTW though, that one reason isn't a great reason to not like a player. Other guys do it all the time..He probably did the same thing to Kobe that game and he retaliated, though I don't know for sure...
