South Park Republican is the closest characterization I'd identify with. Most of them are FOS, and it's more humorous than maddening how FOS they are. PC talk and censorship is an effing joke. Gays, minorities, women, etc. are just folks, no more or less than anyone else, but also not innoculated against being poked fun at, so long as it's good natured.
Government should do what it's good at, defense, economies of scale, standards and oversight, as good as it can, and stay the eff away from what it just effs up, social engineering, entitlements, complicated tax codes, feel-good claptrappery, censorship. |

The reason the thread is over here is to obtain the maximum number of responses. The BB population on the Washington DC forum is a very small subset of the entire active BB population. |
You know, I used to consider myself more of a left-leaning moderate, but the more I've paid attention to politics, the more I find myself squarely in the "liberal" camp.
Of course, I'm pro death penalty, think late-term abortions are wrong, and find the Democratic party to be amazingly inept (not so much due to ideology as due to poor leadership and a lack of a spine). Not sure if that disqualifies me from the liberal camp. MM ~~:hmmm: |

But if you were a supreme court nominee, you wouldn't get the liberals vote because your aren't lock step in tune with the liberal. |
