Michigan lost on the #1 team's home field by 3. In my mind, they played exactly to their #2 ranking.

You obviously have no future as a Los Angeles sportswriter. :)

You know, you'd think all of the geniouses would notice the fact that odds makers give 3 points to the home team, effectively meaning that game was a tie. Playing on a neutral field would settle what is otherwise unsettled.

Cause scoring a TD with a minute left and then not getting an onside kick is giving them all they can handle......it's not like they were driving for the tie/win at any point.

Mecca you can't deny that it was a great game and a very close game.

It was a good game....at times I felt Ohio State made Michigans defense look it like it didn't belong on the field with them. I think some people just look at the final and don't realize the final was as close as Michigan had gotten since the 1st quarter and it was with a minute left and gave them virtually no chance to win. If was a fun game in that neither teams defense looked like it was any good on the day.

I viewed the spread as closer to 10-14 than 3.

Your "them" was UNRANKED OREGON STATE. But that just doesn't matter, does it?

Starting the 4th quarter it was 35-31.

Wait so because they lost that game that means they shouldn't play for the title? You know USC's overall schedule is better than Michigans....

Hey that's 4 so 3 was still as close as they had been since the 1st quarter :p

It is my team so yes I'm going to be a little bias but like I said if UCLA and USC were 1-2 and USC lost on the last game of the year I wouldn't expect to get a rematch.

They're not unraked now......and that's how the SOS is calculated where you finish not where you start.

IMHO No. If you lose to an unranked opponent you don't deserve to play in the national title. I mean the game wasn't even close until 7 seconds left in the game USC got a cheap TD.
