Early in the season, it was mentioned on his show that many of the black players were upset with how Petrino tried to distance the team from the whole Michael Vick situation.

Apparently, some of those guys don't know the difference between getting your team focused for the season and "abandoning" a teammate in a "time of need."

FWIW......

So because Petrino wanted to move away from a player who was going to prison that he never coached some of the black players got pissed..that sounds like more of a problem with them than Petrino.

I don't know if it's dirty, it's definitely weird. It's one thing to resign after a season, but he basically bailed out on a sinking ship. Not usually a good quality for a leader.

It's dirty because he's done it twice in a calendar year. He signed a 10 year deal with Louisville and left after the first season, then signed a 5 year deal with Atlanta and bolted after 13 games.

DeAngelo Hall bashing Arkansas. ROFL

Exactly.

Would YOU want to stick around for that?

Me neither.

Hence the term " Coaching Carousel"

A guy in a blue shirt with no left arm just walked by.

I heard on ESPN tonight that some Falcons players and coaches have said that if Petrino tried to come back and address the team there might be some violence.

This guy was not well liked.

Also this really hurts any college coaches chance of becoming an NFL head coach. Saban last year and now Petrino and there are rumors of Lane Kiffin sniffing around some college job.

Well now we know why they all like Mike Vick.

Would've guessed Huard, but he's got no right arm.

I would be pissed too especially if I was an assistant coach that will probably be out of work in 3 weeks.

Oh, I thought you meant they wanted to kill him for stuff he's done during the season.

I'm not shocked they'd be pissed at his exit. I've read (and posted some of) the reports that he told Blank twice, as late as Monday afternoon, that he wasn't leaving, and that he told the team to rally around and show character the rest of the season, rah-rah-rah. Less than 24 hours later -- see ya!

Why? These people's livelihood was dependent on him. The guy is the ultimate hypocrite and if I was a parent with a kid considering Arkansas I would tell them there is no chance in hell you are going there.
