He never acknowledges that.

Of course, he simply may be unable to comprehend it. Explaining the World Series to Cub fans is like explaining colors to the blind. :D

New to baseball? :shake:

And BTW, I checked the box score from last night's game. LA scored one run in the 4th, Chicago scored 3 in the 7th. So what part of "choked away a late game lead" isn't accurate?

blowing a one run lead in the 9th is choking??

Do you know anything about baseball?

I never said anything about the World Series. I was only responding to the useless by September nonsense. Even in your World Series year you guys had a terrible September (Nearly blowing a 7 game lead in the last week of September) The Completely Useless By September shirts make me laugh considering it's usually a Cards fan wearing the shirt thinking they have this almighty presence in September.

Cardinals September records the last 5 years:
2007- 13-18
2006- 12-16
2005- 13-13
2004- 16-12
2003- 13-13
September Winning %- .482

Cubs September records the last 5 years:
2007- 17-12
2006- 11-17
2005- 16-11
2004- 16-11
2003- 19-8
September Winning %- .572

LMAO You should get that put on a T-shirt.

The Cubs won the season series from the Cardinals in 2006, too. Put that on a shirt. Of course, my shirt from 2006 says WORLD CHAMPIONS.

Yes. And collapsing at the very end of the game = CHOKING.

Do you really think the closer who pissed the game away walked off the mound feeling like he hadn't choked?

OK how bout Cubo...
Completely
Useless
By
October

anyway the cubos are usually out of the race come September, so record is kind of moot at that point.

When the freak is Furcal coming back? I need him badly for my fantasy team. Since he's been gone I haven't been able to find a decent replacement.

Collapsing at the end of the game and losing a one run lead are not even remotely close to the same thing. To suggest so is laughable. As I said earlier, the score was 1-0 and the game could not have been tighter unless it was tied. Anyone watching the game knew it could still go either way. This is baseball...if the other team scores to tie it you sure as hell did not "choke". Under your definition basically every team that loses on a given day "choked". That is not the way it is.

Pretty basic actually.

Whatever, Spanky. A closer who can't close is like a field goal kicker who can't kick a field goal. You get paid to do something, and if you don't do it correctly, then you've CHOKED.

That pretty basic. Moron.
