You'll also hear a lot from Feely. The guy never shuts up. Your local reporters will love him as he will always talk with them and give them quotes.

But the main thing that matters is when you need someone to kick under 45 yards he's pretty automatic.

Cool.

Short field means our offense will get more opportunities. /'05/

Just think if Vermeil would have took Keading instead of Kris "Bigfoot/Secert Weapon/Should be starting RB" Wilson. Keading and Colquitt, wouldnt had to worry about the kickers for 10 years.

Colquitt is our main weapon, don't kid yourself with fg's.

When you look back at that draft Cromartie is like the 1st or 2nd best player from the entire thing.....I feel vindicated.

I'm puzzled. He's coming off his best year ever with over 90% accuracy. Can't find anything specifically as to why (I started reading the thread but got bored with it so if the answer is below, just quote it for me).

Also, anyone know how strong his leg is? Can he put it in the endzone on kickoffs?

Any kicker outside of 45 is pretty spotty.

We haven't had a kicker around here hit from 45 routinely in a while.

Tynes did pretty good beyond 45. It was all those misses inside 45 yards that really stunk.

Money on 45 in, but is really shaky on kickoffs.

Well, I have read the thread, Mr. PastorMikH, and the answer seems to be that Herm love him some squid kicking, no range, stumpy leg man.

Great.

Short kickoffs + bad special teams = short field to defend

And this defense isn't capable of keeping the opposition out of the EZ when they only have to go 60-65 yards instead of 80-85.

Not to say Feely's kickoffs are any great shakes, but going by this data here...

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/foo..._byTB_PCT.html

He had a touchback % rate of 13.6 on his kickoffs (8 out of 59 attempts). John Carney and Dave Rayner are both listed below him. So is Tynes and if you go back to the 2006 data, Tynes had one of the worst TB% rates in the league at 6.6.

So even if Feely isn't great in that department, he appears better than what we've had.
