They're gone. Both of them. Adios.

If you were honestly expecting it to happen mid-season, then that's you're own fault. But if you don't read that and see that Clark's dropping the hammer come January, I don't know what to do for you.

You must be reading between lines of coke. They aren't going anywhere next year, and Clark Hunt doesn't give a **** what anyone else thinks.

Correct. They are going nowhere. I'll bet anything on it.

I'd even go so far as to say that Carl keeps a position within the organization when his contract is up.

I wish I worked for Clark Hunt. All you have to do is show up to keep your job.

Germ Warfare is going to be at war for much longer than we expected..........God help us.

Will [Edwards] be coaching the Chiefs next season, and if so, will he receive a contract extension?

We haven’t made those decisions. Something that’s true for all our personnel is we will evaluate that thoroughly at the end of the year. I don’t feel that doing it in the middle of the year serves any purpose.
Notice what Clark DIDN'T say. He didn't say, "Of course Herm will be coaching the Chiefs next year. He's under contract."

If the Chiefs finish 1-15 Herm isn't coming back. If the Chiefs finish 5-11, he is.

Hopefully you can find a better name over the next year and a half...

That's actually not a bad read. I don't think you can for sure say what Clark is going to do just yet. But the one thing I got from that is that he is trying to be patient right now as we have a lot of youth. But it also sounds like he expects them to play better in the 2nd half of the season. I wonder if that doesn't happen if Clark will get rid of those morons.

I wouldn't bet the farm on him being gone.

I seriously think Clark wants that 1st pick, that he doesn't give a damn if we win another game. He's already thrown out the built in excuse of all the rookies we're playing.
He said in these guys second or third year they will be playing better. He's gonna let herm, and Carl have 1 more draft, and season reguardless if you ask me.

Oh **** you, Zouk. **** you very much. I didn't flip flop and my decision not to support Herm was based entirely on reason.

Ass.

Are you aware of the anger among the fans in Kansas City about the Chiefs right now?

I am, and I certainly understand their frustration with a 1-4 record.
Yeah, that's the problem, the 1-4 record this season.

Nothing to do with not winning a playoff game in 15 years or never trying to develope a QB before Brodie, never having a balance of offense & defenseive talent, the same GM still in place after 20 years of never seeing a super bowl.

Nope, it's the 1-4 record this season. Give me a break.

??? I don't get it.

afchiefs 10-16-2008 08:32 AM

To me the one sure sign that things are not going to change is:

Why the **** are we 32million ? under the salary cap???!!!!

Hunt wants it this way so the Hunts don't have to pay for the stadium out of their own pockets
