Heh, I go to Target and buy two pairs of "Ironman" brand at a time for $20 a piece. I'm real hard on them though. They usually last about a year or so before I lose them in a lake, step on them, sit on them, etc. I cant afford to buy expensive ones.

Though it's important to point out that even this analogy doesn't quite work because the $10 wal-mart sunglasses don't block light as well and aren't nearly as comfortable as the expensive ones whereas your plywood table would certainly hold a plate just as effectively.

I go to Walmart sporting section and get a pair of Renegades. They’re polarized, UV stable, very light and comfortable. Plus when I lose them over the side of my boat I’m not watching >$100 sink to the bottom of a lake.
