I don't care if they are both undersized, start DJ and Demorrio.

Mecca 09-04-2010 08:33 PM

Pretty sure I'd throw shots at Gilbert, Chevis Jackson and the guard Miami cut.

Don't have a problem w/these three guys. Jackson didn't do anything to play himself on the roster. He's still the best starter they have at the 5-techinque. He wasn't good this preseason, but he wasn't bad either. Magee, I think, is worthless, but I don't think you can afford to lose any D-linemen even if they're horrible. And Niswanger, for as much shit as he gets, he's more than adequate for quality depth. Don't want him starting, but he's fine as a backup.

Please stop quoting me.

I hate you and every mother****ing take you've ever had and I'm done responding.

Have a nice day.

Well, yeah. Given that we made no progress in 2009, we knew we were going to walk into the 2010 season with some holes. And we knew it would take a miracle to make this team a playoff team.

It's going to be a problem, but if I were to prioritize positions to fill, it doesn't bother me to work on this one last. DJ and Demorrio actually looked pretty good the last 2 games of the preseason--I'm hoping like all hell that one can at least look like a solid starter.

I just couldn't stomach watching the Bears this preseason.

Did LeFevour actually play well enough to be a prospect?

I'd like to bring him in based on his college games.

I never thought he'd be a good fit for Martz's offense, but he could be a nice fit in this one.

That is exactly the reasons. Most teams carry 6 CB's the Chiefs are carrying 5 with 5 Safties which means Washington can play either one.

I don't have a problem with any one of the cuts and I am sure the roster will be in flux for the next few days.

Who doesn't look good when they're not blocked?

You're right, my bad. Wonder if they're hoping to put him on the PS this year?

Mecca 09-04-2010 08:36 PM

And I really don't have an issue if they want to let Studabaker have a crack at a starting spot...however not bringing anyone in at MLB was criminally negligent.

Not having a legit NT in a 3-4 D is criminally negligent

mcaj22 09-04-2010 08:38 PM

Jay Alford with an ACL injury is better than Tyson Jackson come on, I'd take plenty of DL guys that have been cut on other teams today over the guys we have starting at this point.

A 2-gap 3-4 is built around the D-line absorbing blockers to open up lanes for LBs to run through. But I'm also talking about how they're not whiffing on tackles and playing in position. DJ's actually had a few pretty big hits this preseason.

Unfortunately, they play the same position. And we need to see this progress when the offenses open up. But I think it's entirely possible that at least one ILB on the field isn't going to be too bad. The other side is going to be bad--we just have to deal with that.

Mecca 09-04-2010 08:40 PM

Finding a competent MLB for the 3-4 is really not this hard.

'Hamas' Jenkins 09-04-2010 08:42 PM

It never sinks in how much we suck until you look at the depth chart.
