I'm not necessarily saying I agree with him, but two missed FG's by Novak is certainly a bit unusual.

Norv going full reerun in OT when San Diego had the ball at the Denver 30 ROFL Tebow has a deal with the devil.

Pretty sure that the Chiefs have been to the playoffs at least twice since then and that i remember the Broncos playing in an AFC Championship game much more recent than that.

Im sorry the Raiders have sucked nine strait years. Give McFadden some more Ice and a handful of dirt already.

You haven't won a playoff game since Joe Montana... how old is he now 60?

kcxiv 11-29-2011 02:15 AM

Well that's a first, Most Chief fans like to bring up the Raiders getting their ass kicked in the Superbowl when they haven't even sniffed one in 40 years LMAO

NO AFCW team can talk smaq about the post season. If you haven't won a play off game and a SB in 5 yrs, you are irrelevant.

What if you haven't won a SB in closer to 50 years than 5 years?

Novak isn't quite yet a can't miss, top tier Kicker. This is his first action since 2008... he had 10 FG attempts in 2008 - you know that as he was a Chief. That was his last real action. This is the most he has played since 2005 when he was on 2 teams.

He's never had more than 10 attempts in the pros... he's nearly at 3X that now, the dude's leg is jelly.

This is just Norv being Norv, is it not?

Pretty much, but it was a huge break when he took the foot off the pedal. Can't believe they didn't can that clown after the game.

And the Chiefs have won 3 playoff games dating back to 1971. I would think this would be a subject Chief fans would wish to avoid. Not that Oakland has much to talk about in recent years, but damn 3 wins in 40 years. I don't think you are in much of a position to be running smack~

I kid. Sort of.

Christ. What a bizarro world AFC West it would be... but Denver has a legit shot at it. Every week they're dogs and every week they win. If I was a DC facing the Donks I'd be in contact with the DC at Alabama or LSU. This college ball business is for the birds.

F'ing strange.

I think Chicago and New England will do the Donks in though. Chicago will win 9-3 and the Pats will win 19-10. And when the Raiders stomp San Diego and KC, that'll lock up the division.

Mile High Mania 11-30-2011 12:45 PM

So, this week we have...

Oakland (7-4) at the Dolphins (3-8)
Broncos (6-5) at the Vikings (2-9)

Raiders/Dolphins
The Dolphins are a weird team, having won 3 of their last 4... and they very well could have beaten the Cowboys last week. They've become a difficult team to project... if you look at their games with CLE, DEN and DAL - they maybe could have had 3 more wins.

The Raiders likely won't have McFadden back, but they've been playing well. Will the trip to Florida be kind to them this week? The Raiders have won their last 3 games, but they're still a bit of a mystery and by no means are a lock. I expect them to win, but it should be a tough game and a loss would not be surprising to me simply because of how well Miami has played and Oakland likely will not have McFadden.

Broncos/Vikings
I won't spend much time on Denver, you guys know what's going on there... the key to me during this stretch of 5-1 is the fact that they are 4-0 on the road (MIA, OAK, KC, SD).

The Vikings are experiencing some issues with Peterson - he may be back this week, but still isn't practicing. The Vikings defense has some playmakers, but they've broken down quite a bit. It will be interesting to see how they attack the Broncos.

The big key here to me is whether or not Peterson plays, that offense really needs him as they're young and inexperienced without him and truly lack a game breaker. I think the Broncos can get after Ponder early and often, forcing this into another potential snoozer for the most part.

Overall...
I think Denver and Oakland end up with a tied record of 7-5 after this week, giving Denver the division lead on tiebreakers. Imagine that one...

And, then it's Oakland @ Green Bay with Denver hosting the Bears in week 14.

This is a very critical week for Oakland.
