But extreme southeastern Nebraska to extreme northwestern Nebraska - seriously, that's up there.

Well as far as distance goes, we do have them all beat because of our panhandle.

But we do have this!

Where else are you going to see one of these?

But there's a show there featuring 89,000 blades of grass! I'm not even kidding.

Whaddya want to do in Alaska? Have you considered doing the Alaska Marine Highway System ferry out to Dutch Harbor? Way cool. And a bear watching excursion is a must.

I think there's one in Oklahoma that has a McDonald's. So if you've been driving and staring at the highway for a long time, you can stop there and eat and get exactly the same highway view you'd get while driving.

So I'm guessing that you two have never met.

Next vacation, go out west. Check out Utah's parks or the Grand Canyon or the Telluride area in Colorado. It's amazing to see these places in person.

A cruise is definitely more luxurious than the ferries, and Alaska cruises are a great deal. But if you can handle sleeping in bunk beds, the Tustumena out the Aleutians is really, really cool. http://www.dot.state.ak.us/amhs/

And don't go to Alaska without going to Kodiak and doing a bear tour. Holy ursa major, those things are amazing.

I liked Deleware, and enjoyed it.

We camped at some site south of Rehoboth Beach. Went to a sketchy Italian restaurant where all of these gentlemen in fine suits kept coming in and meeting in the back. It felt like the scene from The Godfather where Michael gets the gun from the bathroom and offs people.

Spent the next day shopping on the boardwalk where it became pretty clear that it was one of the more gay friendly beaches.

I haven't been, but I've heard Dover can be pretty scary.

Edit - I checked with my buddy and it was Wilmington where he had the issue, not Dover.

Actually that may be it. Can't really think of anything else. :grr:

Oh wait, Williamsburg was cool. So there's two.

One of my best friends lives in Williamsburg, so we've spent quite a bit of time out there, and love it. A ton of history in the state and I love the ocean. I'm looking forward to making my way out there again.
