Don't understand why having Wayne makes us have too many wrs.

It might just be a matter of where the money is being allocated... Especially if we make a push to retain Carr... I believe that Peyton+Wayne > Peyton+Bowe... So it might be worth dumping money into

Edit* i think Breaston got a nice contract

Maybe next time KC plays Miami they'll decide to cover Fassano and score some points.

I'm curious, if the Chiefs are as bad as you say, what spots need upgrading?

I think Bowe and Marshall tied for 2nd most drops in the NFL in 2011, but i'd venture to guess Bowe has more career drops

Wayne probably has 1 year left, 2 tops. 33 year old wrs don't age very well.

Not sure how you think Peyton and Wayne are better but.....

jspchief 03-08-2012 07:28 PM

PFF has Marshall with like the 11th highest drop percentage.

Bowe isn't even top 20

Moeaki had more yards in his rookie year than Fasano has had in any single season of his entire career. So yes, Moeaki IS better than Fasano. That's without even considering how damned good of a blocker he is.

Add in the fact that he is an Iowa TE, just like Manning's former TE Dallas Clark, and Ferentz calls Moeaki the best TE he's ever coached.

Shit, I misread. Frankie, I apologize.

I thought he was referring to Soliai as being a "Star"

You are forgiven.

In no particular order:
left guard, right tackle, tight end, qb, hb, WR who can stretch the field.
NT, S, DE.

I'm giving Hudson the benefit of the doubt at center and Asamoah another year at RG although he was bad in run blocking.

BossChief 03-08-2012 07:34 PM

QB. Moore > Cassel
RB. Charles > Bush
RB2. Miami by default
WR1. Push
WR2. Baldwin > Hartline
WR3. Breaston > Bess
TE. Push
OL. Push

Front 7. KC by a hair...Houston gives us an advantage Miami doesn't have. If we could sign Peyton and Soliai, we are by far the better front 7...just with them losing him gives our unit the sizable advantage.
Secondary. KC and it's not close.

Fine.

Basically of all the things you are stating, we need 4 starters give or take. NT, QB, RT, and LG?

Also don't know what good a Wr that stretches the field would have done the last few years with Cassel at the helm, but I agree on that one.

These things are actually all attainable this offseason with the right moves. Thats why I'm optimistic about Manning coming here. This team isn't built yet, but it's possible that it's an offseason away.

xztop12 03-08-2012 07:40 PM

is miami the team thats changing their D?

O.city 03-08-2012 07:40 PM

Yeah.

BossChief 03-08-2012 07:42 PM

Give me Peyton, a starting quality right tackle and nose guard (regardless of age, within reasonable extents) and a few vet minimum depth signings to go with a solid draft and this team goes to the AFCC game next year and probably a superbowl.

They would have the talent to. Tough thing about sports is it always comes down to luck at some point even when you are super-talented. Just using NE you have the Evans drop this year in the AFCC or the Tyree catch against them in 07. Also you can use Houston this season.
