Maybe Seymour and Warren got most of their sacks because they played beside two of the greatest 3-4 NTs of all time in Vince Wilfork and Ted Washington?
Seymour played DT in the 3-4 in his first two years in the NFL. He got 3 sacks as a rookie and 5 sacks in his second year.
He never recorded eight sacks in a season until he had a really good NT. He got eight once with Washington and once with Wilfork.
Warren never had more than 3.5 sacks until they got Wilfork.
The problem isn't Dorsey and Jackson imo. The problem has been the personnel at NT. Dorsey and Jackson aren't going to get a bunch (5+) of sacks unless we have a dominant NT. Having a dominant NT is the key to this defense.
