Great job. Romeo really took your advice! :lame:

Powe

when the pressure came in the second half, Brees wasn't able to step up in the pocket and escape it

normally our NT has been neutralized...i think it was powe most of the time, who ever it was deserves credit

if the middle doesn't collapse, then Brees has to choose between fleeing right (Houston) or fleeing left (Hali)

Powe really made a difference and I thought he would have a big day at his homecoming game. It will be interesting to see if he remains the starter in the weeks ahead or if it was just the gameplan.

I don't think we blitzed any more than usual. To me, it looked like the blitzes were just executed better and the playcalling was better. They were much more straight forward plays and weren't as exotic as they have been. For whatever reason we hadn't blitzed the MLBs much until yesterday. I think Romeo is finally coming back down to earth.

8 hasn't happened, really.

Jeff Allen is playing but Lilja hasn't been pulled.

That being said, is it possible HUDSON is the problem?

BigCatDaddy 09-24-2012 11:39 AM

Thanks.

For what it's worth, both Lilja and Asamoah graded out highly vs the Saints.

BossChief 09-29-2012 05:11 PM

4 might have already happened and I'm waiting on 1 and 6.

:)

Rain Man 09-29-2012 05:20 PM

We need to move to start Allen Bailey, Edgar Jones, and Dontari Poe so we can have the Edgar Allen Poe defense.

Nightfyre 09-29-2012 05:22 PM

Nice.

No, he's grading out quite well.

Romeo has relegated Berry to spying running backs. RAC used him this way against Spiller and Sproles. However, I hate that he isn't playing more of a center-field type role. Closing on WR's and making plays deep. He is playing more of a LB's role a majority of the time only to see things happen behind him and watch him get eaten up in the running game by pulling guards. It doesn't make a ton of sense to me.

Me neither.

The way he is being used increases the probability of re-injury and completely negates his natural speed and playmaking ability.

TBH it pisses me off.

The way I see Berry so far is that he's great at run enforcement and is a sideline to sideline guy in that respect. In pass coverage, he's good at both man to man and at being a center fielder type of safety. However, his weakness is in figuring out who to cover and where to be in coverage.

I don't know what that means, other than that there are two good roles for him: a strong safety run stopper who lives in the box (what he does now), or a deep free safety who cleans up other's mistakes. I actually think his current role is the best fit right now.

Add 2, 4, 6 and 9 to the list of stuff that is being utilized from this list I put together nearly 2 months ago.

Now, only 1, 5, 7 and 10 need to happen.

6 out of 10 of these have happened (maybe not totally the way I put it, but whatever...my way would have been better)

Oh, and please give Stanzi a shot, guys.

It's a very good thing you drew up this cheat-sheet for the Chiefs when you did or else we'd be looking at a 15 loss season.
