A franchise QB with this roster, walks away with a ring.

Get a franchise QB and a hardass leader at Head Coach.

On paper, this roster looks pretty good.

Too bad games aren't played on paper.

If we had a QB, Stanford Routt isn't the reason why we can't contend.

Huge truths in few words.

That's where management and coaching come in.

There is no leadership here.

Need better depth and a QB. That's not a rebuild.

There's enough talent on this team to compete. Chiefs are dead set on fitting square pegs into round holes. Pats and Pack would give left nuts for 7 starters we have.

But there are holes that would be better masked by Brady or Rodgers.

Yes, but would they give DJ's left nut?

I've said it a few times and I know it's killing some of my credibility on here because of how many are firmly against it, but...

Bill Cowher could be a perfect fit for us if he still has the fire.

His defensive philosophy (a pure attacking, zone blitzing 3-4) fits PERFECTLY with the strengths of our defensive players and the players would immediately respect him. He also understands that you need a franchise quarterback to compete for championships.

Cowher + Smith/Barkley = quick turnaround

My concerns are:

Does he still have the fire
Would he want FULL control, or would he want a GM so he could focus on coaching?
Who would he bring in as coordinators?

Once pioli drafts a QB next season and we start to win some games, his job will be safe for awhile.

My concern is: No HC has ever won a SB with 2 different teams.

Nevermind the fact that he thought he could win with ****ing Cordell Stewert.

This is what I was going to say.

The Niners went from getting their shit pushed in by us one season to the NFC Championship game the next season with pretty much the same players. This team's issues lie in the QB and coaching.

FlaChief58 10-05-2012 07:29 PM

With some minor tweeking, a competent HC and a real NFL caliber QB this team can be special. No need to blow the whole thing up

You don't know how hard it was for me to type that. I think that is the only way he can save his job. That or if Brady and Stanzi lay their dicks on the table, stand there in a Superman stance and yell, FEAST!!!
