Mom wouldnt listen to me on the prime rib, she let it get to 140 and we ended up well over medium rare.

It was still very good, but not what everyone really wanted.

I hear ya buddy... I don't know where the wife was raised, but she's got a phobia about undercooked food. So if i leave it to her, everything would be leather... She'll look at to places and go with the highest opinion, then not understand foods, depending, will rise 5-10 degrees after coming off the grill. Oh well.... She's learning not to ask!

My wife made an outstanding lasagna last night. She and all the womenfolk (sisters, daughters, and nieces) have been baking a lot. I'm not a big sweets eater. I did like the cherry-blueberry pie they made though.

The daughters and nieces have plans to make homemade ravioli with my mother in a couple of days.
