I was referring to moving Hudson.

He played G at FSU and played very well.

He didn't play much at C.

How is that when he didn't play it much in college?

I mean, I have no problem with him playing C, but I'd rather have a guy there who played the position mostly in college.

the only reason people are entertaining Albert to guard is he is the exact size of Evan Mathis and Todd Herremans, two guards on the Eagles that Andy Reid had a boner sized hard on for

also Danny Watkins, the 45 year old Canadian Fireman 1 year football player, is also 6'3'' 310 lbs, at guard, that Andy Reid reached for in the FIRST ROUND of a draft. Similar to Brandon Albert.

He likes big ****ing guards. That is a fact. I don't agree with it, but that's what Andy Reid will go out and find. If Jeff Allen is not progressing fast enough he is ****ed. Andy isnt going to just give spots away to these guys, he will bring in competition.

Whether that's a high draft pick is yet to be seen.

This is like the guys who want to switch Albert to guard so they can get a "true" LT.

And it's not the same because Albert has established himself as a LT in the NFL.

two of them are Guards, one has been a cornerstone LT. LOL

So lets use the first overall pick on his replacement/ actual people

There are a lot of ways I am ok with letting Albert walk.. BUT you don't let an above average (barely) LT walk unless his back is going to be a concern or he is demanding top 5 money.

Sparano did draft Jake Long... and Long has struggled in Miami's new scheme.. and he is due a crap load of money making Martin a MUCH cheaper option for them. I wonder if we could get him for something as low as a 3rd rounder.

And Hudson was establishing himself as a C in the NFL before he got hurt. He was playing very well before the injury.

I may be wrong here, but isn't Long a free agent this year?

One thing I am sure of, though, Long is as overrated at LT as any in the last 20 years.

Yeah he's a FA.

Umm yeah, the second Andy tells Albert we are going to play him at guard he walks.

NOT going to happen.

Dumb statement. There are college tackles playing guard all over the NFL. Very normal.

Yes he will be a free agent but I can see Miami tagging him. I'd love to get him without giving up anything but I doubt the rest of the league is as pigheadedly moronic about judging Long as you are.

Long would be a MASSIVE upgrade over Albert even in a ZBS which doesn't play to his strengths in the least.

Of course he has been battling injuries all year so (just like Albert) I'd want to be certain that isn't going to be an ongoing concern.

When it comes to Jake Long you really are a complete dumbass and I hope we sign him just to piss you off.

No I am not wrong. Albert is a top 15 LT NOT a top 10 LT... that makes him above average... but not by a lot. If you think he is a top 5 or even top 8 LT than you have ZERO ability to evaluate the position. Something YOU have proven time and again.

I am not advocating letting Albert go, he is above average and we have bigger needs to address but the idiots like you who think he is ALL WORLD are dead wrong.

Sorry Austin, I am not pigheadedly moronic about Long.

He is a good, but not great, LT that is at best, a marginal upgrade to Albert, and I think Albert is still growing, while Long is pretty much at his ceiling.
