Hold on.

Thats 16/yr

Wow

If the report about their being no guaranteed money in the deal is true, then I think both sides did well here. He only gets $16M if he plays, they can dump him at any time if need be.

Jets are going to have the ammo to move up, or take two great players in the first.

Bucs have a CB that can help matchup against those monsters in Atlanta as well as Colston/Graham in NO.

so it's not guaranteed? They still have to pay him 16 ****ing million dollars a year... it still counts against the cap... no contract is guaranteed in the NFL.

If he's still injured or gets injured, there is no cap hit. Win for the Bucs... the Jets, well they still have Mark Sanchez.

That's a move a team makes that has a chance to win a superbowl in the next 3 or 4 years.

I wouldn't put TB in that category.

Guaranteed money means say he only plays one year and than gets cut the Bucs have to pay him the guaranteed money.

Guaranteed money is about a half of the total money.

but then they've given up 3 picks for nothing still... which is worse, no?

I understand.. but I still don't see it as a coup. They either get an injured player and they are out the picks... or they are playing 16 mil for a CB.

16 million a year for a corner is LMAO whether it's guaranteed or not

Pasta Little Brioni 04-21-2013 03:21 PM

Would be nice to get both of the jets pick for the #1 overall but our staff is ****ing stupid.

The deal will be re worked, just like Vincent Jackson and Carl Nicks.

If they have the cap space, who cares?

We paid $16M twice for Matt Cassel.

At least Revis is one of the most talented players at his position.

We paid that much for one of the worst.

It takes two to tango. We might ask for both but the Jets probably don't want to get to 1.
