I want a top round QB draft pick not mid~late round draft pick.

Reid loves Alex Smith. The best you can hope for is a mid/late round guy to take over when Smith flames out 3 years down the road.

Good point, Zach Dysert intrigues me though enough where I would like to see him drafted by us.

Well if Alex Smith breaks apart in midseason this year then there could be a real good chance we draft a quarterback otf in next years draft with a first or second round pick.

So I'm banking on Alex Smith breaking apart and not be worth a damn. We can move on then sooner than later.

Matt Barkley was a projected top 10 pick last year and a first round talent. If we dont pick him here Dorsey and Reid are so ****ing stupid.

Good coaches don't move on that quickly.

Brian Brohm was a projected top 10 pick after his junior year.

Where is he now?

I think it would make them liers as far as picking BPA goes. They wouldn't be able say Matt Barkley isn't BPA at that point.

Huh? Jim Harbaugh moved on pretty damn quick from Alex Smith so it's not like Alex Smith is a young rookie and needs time to groom he is not that and if they pretend he is then this is as stupid as Scott Pioli.

Did he draft Alex Smith or bring him onto the team? He wasn't HIS QB.

Doesn't matter.

If Alex Smith struggles and is hurt all the time and Andy Reid and Dorsey don't move on quick then they will surely get to see their names flying on banners behind planes.

Alex Smith is not a rooky quarterback lets not pretend he is.

only if they evaluate Barkley like you do

A Quarterback is either good or worthless ... unlike other positions he's not going to play special teams or help in other ways.

If they don't think Barkley is a starting caliber guy then there is no point in taking him in any round.

They aren't going to move on after 1 year unless he sustains some major injury. Only the Cleveland Browns switch QBs every year. They are going to stick with him.
