If I were a Browns fan I'd be pissed. Not only did you give away a formidable running back with plenty of tread on the tires, but you basically said to season ticket holders, "Thanks for the money, we're not going to compete this season. Stop on by next year though!"

That formidable running back brought you back a first rounder.

Unreal he went 3rd overall. I don't think id take a RB before 20 in todays NFL.

ballsy move by cleveland....it works if richardson is just a good, not great back and they draft a QB....if you don't believe in something, better to change it then waste time (cassel, pioli, clark)

indy gets richardson's production right now, in advance of the pick...they have their franchise QB, so you can see the logic...but if Ballard going down was the reason you did this, then you should have planned better in the offseason

How is Trent Richardson at pass-blocking?

rolltide2014 09-18-2013 06:28 PM

This guy is a freak, I've seen him in the gym before and its ungodly the things he's capable of. He put other guys here like Fluker and Barrett Jones to shame.

notorious 09-18-2013 06:32 PM

Yes.

Indy is ****ing themselves over. This is great news.

ClevelandBronco 09-18-2013 06:35 PM

I approve.

'Hamas' Jenkins 09-18-2013 06:36 PM

What a god-awful, stupid trade by the Colts. Richardson ran behind Alex Mack and Joe Thomas last year and he still ****ing sucked. The only RB definitely worth a first rounder is Peterson, and given how lucky the Colts were last year, that pick might end up being in the 12-15 range.

Oh, well, no one is happy, and now that its coming out that this trade was actually orchestrated in the PRESEASON, and held onto because the owner wanted to get as many season tickets as possible.

Yeah. :cuss:

What is the Browns GM situation? I feel a little silly not knowing, but is the current one the guy who took Richardson in the first place? I mean yeah you got a first rounder back, but if you prefer that over a RB why waste a 3rd overall only to trade him for a 20ish overall? I mean that was only last year. Did they really not like what they saw?

No. That was Tom Heckert. The GM right now by title is Michael Lombardi. There lots of confusion. It is said that its a thing that every move has to be approved by Banner, and that Ray Farmer, and Michael Lombardi are tag teaming the roster.

So, really? Who the hell knows.

And about what they saw. The rumor is that Lombardi has wanted to blow the entire thing up.

I would almost think long and hard about trading Jamaal for a 1st.

My Colts fan friend, who is jacked up about this trade, says he's one of the better ones in the league.

I actually like this trade for the Browns. Good for them, saying enough is enough with the QB carousel. (I will retract this post if they end up not getting their QBOTF.)
