Cooks does not have the goods to be a #1 WR. There are a bunch of small/shifty WRs in this draft who are just like Cooks and will have to play in the slot at the next level: Josh Stewart, Jalen Saunders, Robert Herron, Josh Huff, Tevin Reese, etc. It would be beyond stupid to spend our 1st round pick on Cooks, lol.

So you didn't refute anything that he said in his post. You just refuted shit that he never said.

I was never "mad about Tuitt". This has nothing to do with that. It has everything to do with you being wrong about a majority of the shit you're talking about.

You guys do realize who OldSchool is right?

I should have figured when he was wrong all of the time.

Yeah, thats true.

I'm a big Cooks fan btw, and my opinion (if a few certain players are off the board, Lee, the TE's etc) I'd love to trade down and take Cooks while adding a 3rd rounder.

Wrong about what I'm talking about? Where have I been wrong? Cooks can't get vertical and attack the ball like Odell Beckham can, that was my original statement. Can he occasionally come down with a jump ball? Sure, any receiver with decent ball skills can do it once in a while, but you can't expect Cooks to win those jump balls like you can expect Beckham to. Steve Smith was/is special not just for his quick burst/overall speed; he's special because he is a smaller receiver who can go up and get the ball overall larger DBs. Cooks' catch radius is a lot smaller than average and it's going to limit him to the slot in the NFL.

Lee or Beckham?

Beckham.

You can get the same receiver as Lee in Texas' Mike Davis with the third round pick.

I'm not so sure I wouldn't take Davis over Lee straight up anyway.

TambaBerry 02-06-2014 11:46 PM

Beckham all day if Sammy Watkins isn't there

Honestly, I don't think it's wise to take a WR in round 1 because:

1. Odell Beckham should be gone by 23.
2. This draft is extremely deep with talented WR's. You can easily get a starting quality guy in round 3.

Also, Jalen Saunders reminds me of a better version of McCluster. And we can probably draft that guy in round 4 or 5.
