The Miami Dolphins addressed some of their biggest needs in free agency by re-signing their own (Randy Starks, Brent Grimes) or bringing in players from the outside (Branden Albert, Shelley Smith, Earl Mitchell, Knowshon Moreno). The remainder of their primary needs offensively can be had on day 2. I look for them to address their primary need defensively with their Chaplain's son. The Miami Dolphins select...

Ryan Shazier - OLB - Ohio State

LoL. I've already said it would be early if I were a GM in a thread reply to Sac, but his dad is the Chaplain for the Dolphins and they need a WOLB in the worst way. Match made in heaven, literally haha.

Edit: Also, he's the most physically gifted player in this draft and happens to be a damn good player. He can not only run with tight ends, he can run with slot receivers.

Hmm, is he any better than Zach Brown was in 2012 I wonder . . .

I kinda like the Zach Brown band even though I love rock/metal, they were pretty good in 2012. :)

Shazier is more explosive, faster, and stronger than Brown and my opinion is he's a much better player. Putting up 143 tackles in the B1G is no small feat. He has the potential to be one of the best weak side linebackers in the league. The biggest draw though to me is they already know him as a person better than any other team in the league and the talent is definitely there to warrant a 1st round pick even if LBs traditionally aren't a sought out commodity early on very often.

A 6.90 3-cone is on pace with most slot receivers and his 4.38 40 shows he can stay with anyone. Plus he's got great size at 6'1" 237 and his frame doesn't look maxed out, like he could add another 10 pounds easily in his legs and upper body. So I don't think you say the floor is high.

I sure did think this would move much faster.

Rarely is everyone on at the same time.

We should do our own mock, Roundup. Just alternate picks and tell each other how much they suck. :)

The Arizona Cardinals select Calvin Pryor, S, Louisville

blazzin311 04-12-2014 08:24 PM

Green Bay was hoping that Calivin Pryor would slide one more Pick so that they could add him, to Improve their Atrocious Secondary Play from last Season. Now Green Bay must look for other options. They don't necessarily feel that there is another Safety worth taking with this pick, the top LBers they may have preffered are off the Board, and with the Addition of Peppers, and resiging BJ Raji, Defensive Line can wait a Round or Two. So instead of Defense Green Bay looks to Replace some of the Weapons they've lost on the Offesnsive Side of the Ball over the last Two Offseasons. They lost Greg Jennings, James Jones and Jermichael Finley. Outside of Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson, the Packers don't have anyone that really instills any Fear in the Opposing Teams' Defenses they may face. The Green Bay Packers select.....Odell Beckham Jr., WR, LSU. This allows them to put Beckham Jr. opposite of Jordy Nelson and move Randall Cobb back to the Slot where his skills are best suited, and Jarrett Boykin would then be their Fourth Receiver.

The Eagles select:

Dee Ford DE/OLB Auburn

The Eagles need help in the secondary and hoped Pryor would have fallen.

Ford is a difference maker and who doesn't need more pass rush..
