Part of me agrees. It's basically like Clint Eastwood. He plays every role the same. It's charisma more than actual acting.

I don't think anybody mention Liberty Valence. John Wayne & Jimmy Stewart. What's not to like. And good story besides. Just not my favorite, though.

It is not as if his movies are out of production. William Shakespeare died a few centuries before I was born, but I still read a story or 2 by him.

Cable/Satellite TV is full of John Wayne movies. You can't watch Turner Classic Movies any week without a John Wayne movie.

John Bonham died around the same time as John Wayne, so I guess you've never heard a song by Led Zepplin either? :doh!:
