He was fantastic last night. I really believe he is going to be a special player. The guy is just too freakishly athletic and smart not to be. Oh yea, he's also learning and soaking up everything he can from Maclin.

Trade Charles and Deanthony Thomas to the Niners for Navarro Bowman. We would be unstoppable.

Yep. Went down and made the grab, and then went full YAC. Deal is he was under control the whole time. Great to see that.

This pass, and every other pass, but one, that was thrown beyond 5 yards by Foles is why I am not overly impressed with Foles.

The receivers baled him out on almost every pass beyond 5 yards.

He holds the ball too long and is inaccurate, and when delivers those balls high and late over the middle, he's going to get the receivers killed if he isn't picked.

Most popular guy on teams is usually the back up. Truth is while I liked Foles a lot coming out, his ceiling is probably a back up qb.

You're right. There were more errant throws than one's on target. Throws the ball high a lot and I think on this particular throw he made an effort not to and nearly threw it in the dirt. Also, it looks to me like it takes him a loooong time to get the throw off - Seems like a very long release.

They just gave Bowman a contract extension...

It's a nice thought, but I'm not sure chip Kelly would trade a top 5 lb for a 30 year old Rb and a fringe NFL player.

And besides, if we're making a trade for players, it shouldn't be for an ILB. This team needs D-backs and pass rushers.

Anyone campaigning for Foles over Smith is a moron.

no injuries to speak of.... that's what stood out.

What was impressive about that play was the ball security at the end. A defender came up behind him with a huge chop. I thought there was going to be a god chance of a fumble

Absolutely. That's all that matters in the preseason.

While I don't consider myself at all a 49er fan any longer Navarro Bowman is one of my fave players ever. I'd love him as a chief.

Apparently you have forgotten about the insane trades that Chip made in Philadelphia. I wouldn't rule anything our with him.

Irrelevant here, since Chip is not in charge of personnel in San Francisco.

I haven't, and I thought about that, but Chip had no say over personnel in SF. That would be the worlds worst GM in Trent Baalke. Also it's said that Chip loves Carlos Hyde.
