Getting the 5/6 seed is not success this year unless we win multiple playoff games and get to the AFCCG. The goal is to do better.

Or are you simply satisfied with just making the playoffs and regular season success?

First, let's concede that all the deficiencies could become improved as we move forward... and let's slightly adjust the term to team concerns to monitor as we look ahead...

1. Half the starting defense on I.R. or hobbled.. Sutton understandably goes bend don't break.. so far so good. Much applause.
2. Justin Houston down the stretch? yes, he deserves his own number on the list
3. Andy Reid's playcalling... bound to get more aggressive in door die mode... he and his QB. THIS all ties deeply into TDs, RZ, and 3rd down %.
4. Poor OL run blocking.. looked better last night
5. Jeremy Maclin.. he's probably 100% now, mind and body.. something to keep an eye on
6. Ware's ribs.. he'll probably be fine by playoff time, if not earlier.

7. Alex Smith's inability to consistently throw the ball downfield.

The chiefs put up 33 on Denver's d. I'd think they could do it against the steelers or pats

The amount of mental gymnastics to go thru to keep from saying g the qb needs to play well is weird

If this ends in a 1 and done or even an AFCCG loss, I will be disappointed, but will look back on the year as a good one. Great? no. Ecstatic? no.

7. Alex Smith's consistency in playing well and running the offense like last night. I'm not a full on Alex hater, but he no where near consistent enough. I hope he's currently peaking at the right time.
