I never bought the original fold due to the issue with dust but they've pretty much solved the problem unless you live at the beach. Didn't buy the Fold 2 because the outside screen was so narrow and subpar but then they fixed that. So I dropped the $1800 on this bad boy (Fold 3). Its gonna be a long week waiting for it to arrive.

Just my humble opinion.

Last December I got an extra wide screen, curved monitor that I sit close to. It makes a huge difference. But yeah, I'm not going to get one for a TV.

I boought a FOLD 2 used for about $1100 in perfect condition about 5 months ago. I can't use a regular phone after having a FOLD.

Does the front screen ever piss you off? I found I really had trouble typing on it when I demo'd the Fold 2. It seemed somewhat improved on the Fold 3 but still not great. Wish they would just widen the thing.

It's perfectly usable and you will get accustomed to it, but I would say it's one of its cons. I wouldn't say I ever actually lament that screen. What blew my mind was using my wife's note 10, and just thinking how...small it is. You are going to get spoiled really quick with the fold. There is truly no going back.

Unfolded, is it a tablet replacement?

If you are used to IPAD Mini dimensions, it absolutely is.

The majority of my apps take advantage of the screen real estate which is really nice. My wife and I often will cap the night off by watching something on my phone for 20 mins before nodding off, rather than turning on the TV. It's a really nice e-reader, perhaps the best on the market for phones. And if you are a gamer, the 120 fps refresh screen is great. I mean it's great for everything, but I've heard nice things about gaming with this, particularly if you have xcloud and a nice controller setup.
