Good snap here from an under SAM position:

Ragland can’t make a deep middle of the field drop in C2 from the mike spot. He’s as good of fit in this 4-3 as Kendrell Bell was in Gunther’s 4-3. You can try him outside and try to stand him up like NE does Hightower but he’s not as long or quite as natural at it as Hightower is being able to shift inside and out of the LB spots in that D. But he is what he is, a throwback 3/4 inside LB. try trading him to TB GB or Baltimore etc for a late pick maybe. Otherwise I would trust Spags instincts on whether it’s worth seeing if he fits plus you have to think of how to even try to use him and the most likely thought is running it by Daly and see what he thinks since he saw first hand with Hightower. Consider the cap savings and cutting your losses now isn’t a bad move either. Most likely imo. He was a good gamble at the time and played well next to DJ because he had mastered the scheme.

They're projecting. Nothing more. You really think the Chiefs are just gonna be all like, "Yeah we're handing the starting position to a back up that we signed for pennies before F/A or the draft even began!" |

It's projections. And S is a lot less complicated. It's either going to be Mathieu/Berry or Mathieu and someone not named Berry. |
