Stop putting words in my mouth.

You do this shit all the time.

So why did you assume Luv wasn't in a committed relationship or that their son didn't carry the father's last name?

Good on you.

Yes, legally. And we're committed. We bought a house together, so, if we're not, then we should be...lol. There are plenty of people who get married who aren't truly committed, so we don't need a piece of paper to validate our commitment. If I were to push harder for marriage, it would be for two reasons:

1. So that I have the same last name as my son.
2. So that we could all be on a family insurance plan through his employer, so I don't have to deal with all of the red tape applying through the marketplace year after year after year (sorry, just got through doing all of that, so it's fresh on my mind).

We're happy. Kiddo has daddy's last name (and middle name, too, for that matter), a mommy who loves him, a daddy who loves him, and a mommy and daddy who love each other.

Anyway, we've gotten a bit off topic. I was simply trying to be funny with my ruler post, which I apparently failed at miserably, so, uh, sorry I guess. :)
