This is completely unsurprising.

If not for gift after gift after gift (Barnes' fumble at the 8, Hankins' two interceptions -- one returned for a TD -- in the red zone and two more in Miss territory, a blocked punt for a TD, and a missed field goal), we would have won the game going away from Mississippi. Our offense moved the ball at will, even in the horrible first half; they just crapped on themselves when they were about to score.

Even as poorly as we played, we still had a chance to get to OT with them. Really frustrating game.

They're in a transition year. They're replacing their whole offense and they changed their defensive scheme, which they currently don't have the talent to run. Nobody could compete with the team and the lack of experience they currently have. Weis has got time. His first recruiting class are currently sophomores.

Their QB is a frosh. But overall the team has flashes of brilliance, then bonehead plays.

Then he hasn't been watching the game or isn't particularly familiar with what's actually going. Clausen's been pretty much the bright spot on a bad inexperienced offense. They have no offensive line, no running game, and no weapons in the passing game. Clausen's looked poised and done as much as should be expected of him given the circumstances(not to mention his first college game at Happy Valley in Primetime).

This needs to be seen again.
