I was at work and missed the game? Is Florida that good or did KSU just shit their pants? Both?

Kstater's NCAA 'ship win could have been a KU loss. Too bad he got his team not even getting it close with a solid NIT candidate. ROFL

The Huskers are going to beat K-state once this basketball season.

Only Zits88 and Arrowtard would fall for that old talking point.

I was not aware hair won basketball games. I mean, sure, it wins football games, but it offers ZERO competitive advantage in round ball.

Unbelievable that UCONN ponied up the Wii.

Very cool stuff.

I can only hope that Bob Knight will draw up an inbounds play during the KSU game.

kstater 12-21-2010 08:10 PM

Excellent raffle BTW. Riveting stuff.

kstater 12-21-2010 08:12 PM

Big East rafflefest delaying the coverage.

DeezNutz 12-21-2010 08:14 PM

Impressive to rattle off that many victories and to have not one person give a mother**** about it.

kstater 12-21-2010 08:16 PM

Mark my words. JHR goes for 25 tonight.

Dante84 12-21-2010 08:16 PM

...and we score 32

kstater 12-21-2010 08:19 PM

How the **** does that drop?

Dante84 12-21-2010 08:21 PM

I wonder when Asprilla will realize that you only get points when the ball goes in? Dude throws up so much weak shit.

kstater 12-21-2010 08:21 PM

Horrible call.

kstater 12-21-2010 08:22 PM

Wally up and ready.

Dante84 12-21-2010 08:28 PM

Oh Gee, Wally's not in trouble anymore? hmm. Curt got him off the hook.

Saul Good 12-21-2010 08:29 PM

I was able to get $75 on the Rebels +2. Hopefully the Cats win by 1.

Dante84 12-21-2010 08:53 PM

Wally just said "man, **** you" to someone.... either the ref or Jam Sam as he was coming off.

It then looked like Frank said "What did he say?" to the ref...

kstater 12-21-2010 09:08 PM

Not bad considering the circumstances.

Halftime:

KSU 34
UNLV 32

Dante84 12-21-2010 09:09 PM

Nice shot, Nick

black angus 12-21-2010 09:13 PM

The crowd seemed quite enthusiastic the last 5 minutes of the half.
Seemed to really give the kids a lift.
and that last shot by Russell was SWEET.

kstater 12-21-2010 09:18 PM

So missing 3 games means, barring ginormous numbers from here on out, it will be very tough for Jake to get the all-time scoring mark. Unless of course he can get an extra game or 2 at the end of the year.

I think last time I did the numbers, he needed 16 ppg through round of 16 to get it.

kstater 12-21-2010 09:26 PM

John Higgins wants to remind you he's still the referee tonight.

black angus 12-21-2010 10:18 PM

They need to take McGruder to the dentist to get his tooth back in.
I think you have an hour or so.

On a positive note, once McGruder got his tooth knocked out, he looked a lot more like the KSU fans in attendance.

Seriously, though, Frank Martin was a disgrace to the game tonight. Complete raging maniac who's histrionics had no positive effect, and likely contributed significantly to the loss. Yanking players out and subbing at every whistle isn't part of being a good coach. His "shine" is wearing off quickly. He might think of recruiting kids that could be a little bit coachable, instead of settling on everyone else's cast-off's.

The loss, and the way it happened came as no surprise to anyone that follows the game.

Frank's antics are really starting to annoy me a little bit. It reminds me of the way Haley handled himself on the sideline in his first year. I think we might be better off if he toned it down.

And now when the kids don't seem to be responding well on the court, it might be time to switch it up.

Pretty sure most of these people saying Frank needs to tone it down are the same people that wanted him fired after the 0-4 conference start in his 2nd year or the bad loses during his first year (I was not one of those people, BTW. Defended him since day 1 :D ) or opposing fans.

I'm as disappointed as the next guy, but this is being way overblown. These same methods have helped put K-State back on the basketball map and people want him to change? Makes no sense to me.

Martin's teams tend to peak towards the end of the season. If this team is playing like crap in the middle of Jan., then I'll worry a little bit. Until then, I trust Frank Martin.

Reerun_KC 12-22-2010 08:28 AM

Funny this is brought up.. The voice and spokes person for KSU sports was talking about this yesterday as well.

I am just surprised that guys like MCD's Walley Judge isnt contributing and making an huge impact by now...

I love Frank Martin. But, it's not working this year, and I don't see it getting better...do you?

They're playing hard and they're playing tough defense. But, they can't score. Hell, way too often, they can't even get off a decent ****ing shot. That's not going to change unless one of the guards figures out how to break the defense down off the dribble. Spradling can't do that. Russell and 'tay can, but they'll also turn the ball over and get yanked by sub-happy Frank. Even Pullen has had trouble handling the ball this year.

The bigs are a ****ing joke. We can't even get the ball into the post, and if we miraculously do make a good pass into one of 'em, they don't catch it cleanly and fumble it around.

I'm admittedly LBBIQ, so someone please tell me I'm reeruned and that everything is going to be fine. I just don't see it happening.

The whole team looks like they're nervous and playing tight. Does Frank's coaching style not have anything to do with that?

My wife is a KSU alum, and was in the football and basketball band. She's a huuuuuge Wildcat fan. Today we're cooking a turkey with all the goodies, having a bunch of her KState pals come over, and have a football party. Should be fun.

Today I'm an honorary Wildcat!
