Old Dog 02-20-2011 03:46 PM

30 laps (and 3 cautions) to go

Dylan 02-20-2011 03:47 PM

OMG what a move by JUNIOR............................... a move he made all by himself http://www.millan.net/minimations/smileys/frizz3.gif

Dead Dale must be proud.

Old Dog 02-20-2011 03:47 PM

Heller save by Kyle there

Old Dog 02-20-2011 03:48 PM

crap, Clint has no partner now

Old Dog 02-20-2011 03:50 PM

guess he's gonna try it with the #18 /facepalm

RNR 02-20-2011 03:51 PM

Bowyer, Jr, Menard, or Smokeany would be fine by me~

Dylan 02-20-2011 03:52 PM

It would be great if Truex outed himself before he kills someone.

Bugeater 02-20-2011 03:53 PM

I bet Kyle ends up winning this ****ing thing.

kcxiv 02-20-2011 03:54 PM

Wow, Bobby is still in it. The way this shit runs now, its going to be insane at the end.

I think Clint is leading the race --David Ragan is pushing him???

Edit: Clint is running 5th - Kyle is behind him

The #18 was pushing him when we went to commercial

Old Dog 02-20-2011 03:56 PM

KurtCobain (#4 Kahne) just blew a tire

Bugeater 02-20-2011 03:56 PM

aaaand another caution

I called 3 more when there was 30 to go, so you still have 2 left

kstater 02-20-2011 03:57 PM

So who's got the balls to push without switching the last 15 laps? That's who wins.

Dylan 02-20-2011 03:59 PM

I have a feeling Carl Edwards will leave Roush-Fenway Racing at the end of 2011.

Old Dog 02-20-2011 04:00 PM

You may not like this "2 car tango" (not sure I do either), but I think it has undoubtedly been an exciting race

Old Dog 02-20-2011 04:01 PM

I need that #27 to find the back of the #33

kstater 02-20-2011 04:01 PM

Jr and Stewart lined up...

Dylan 02-20-2011 04:01 PM

I agree, truebigdog. I like it too

Dylan 02-20-2011 04:02 PM

Come on Jr / Stewart!!

that would make a great finish -- you know they would race side by side on the money lap

GoHuge 02-20-2011 04:04 PM

I thought earlier this week that this new style of plate racing would be exciting, but it isn't. It's like a damn IROC race......only 400 miles too long. Everyone has the same piece and has nothing to do with how a car handles or what kind of power the motor is making.
It's only about a one-two lap run they get. I mean jfc Robby Gordon led laps under green.......and done his typical bumper car shit. One of my favorite sporting events to watch "plate racing" has morphed into something else. It'll take 3-5 years of age to get Daytona back to being Daytona where how a car handles makes a difference. Can't wait....

Dylan 02-20-2011 04:05 PM

impossible to know who will win this race

GoHuge 02-20-2011 04:05 PM

OMG don't f'k up now

chit! they're all jammed together

Dylan 02-20-2011 04:09 PM

exciting race!

Dylan 02-20-2011 04:10 PM

Holy Chit 3 wide

Dylan 02-20-2011 04:11 PM

OMG CRASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Old Dog 02-20-2011 04:11 PM

I called it earlier....Clint got collected

kstater 02-20-2011 04:12 PM

So who get's who for a partner?

Al Bundy 02-20-2011 04:12 PM

Damn.

Dylan 02-20-2011 04:12 PM

Why did #78 slow up????

Why did Smith slow up?

kstater 02-20-2011 04:14 PM

To be up on the spotter stand right now.

Al Bundy 02-20-2011 04:14 PM

Well Kurt Busch wrecked out Smith.

Dylan 02-20-2011 04:14 PM

what a finish this is going to be

GoHuge 02-20-2011 04:15 PM

Now we'll have a restrictor plate race.....albeit a short one. Wow I now have one fantasy driver with an actual chance. Well check that. Jr has a flat.

Dylan 02-20-2011 04:15 PM

knew that was going to happen - this will not be a clean finish

Dylan 02-20-2011 04:17 PM

I wouldn't be surprised to see this one won by someone taking the B&W checkers on his roof.

Old Dog 02-20-2011 04:17 PM

Man, this is some disheartening shit.....one of the dominant cars all day and gets collected because the #14 runs in like a kid into a candy store and slams the #78

Dylan 02-20-2011 04:18 PM

LMAO Kyle agrees with me...

KChiefs1 02-20-2011 04:21 PM

WTF?????

Trevor Bayne????

Dylan 02-20-2011 04:21 PM

i'm sitting on the edge of my seat lol

Green Green

Old Dog 02-20-2011 04:22 PM

and JR gets taken out

Dylan 02-20-2011 04:22 PM

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF'K

There goes JUNIOR!

DAMN IT

Bugeater 02-20-2011 04:22 PM

What a cluster**** that was

Al Bundy 02-20-2011 04:23 PM

Tony Stewart caused that one big time. Took out Robby Gordon, JR and Truex.

Dylan 02-20-2011 04:25 PM

Never fails. I give up!

Dylan 02-20-2011 04:26 PM

Lap 203 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 16: David Ragan is black-flagged for changing lanes too soon on the restart. Robby Gordon gets loose but saves the car. As drivers avoid Gordon, they connect and wreck. Dale Earnhardt Jr. has heavy damage. Ryan Newman goes into the wall and collects Martin Truex Jr. as Kyle Busch heads to pit road.

Old Dog 02-20-2011 04:26 PM

Bugeaters boy causes a couple of wrecks and is gonna end up winning it

Old Dog 02-20-2011 04:27 PM

Holy Crap....Bobby is in 3rd.....who woulda thunk that

Dylan 02-20-2011 04:28 PM

Well, I'm rooting for the Rookie, Trevor Bayne -- He ran a smart race all day

GoHuge 02-20-2011 04:28 PM

Well wanted a gwc, but not one that had something to do with Junior getting taken out. Robby Gordon should be banned. Trouble is always around the dude.....

kstater 02-20-2011 04:30 PM

Holy Shit

Dylan 02-20-2011 04:30 PM

what a f'kn block by trevor bayne

Wow!!!!!!

So happy for the Wood Bros.

Old Dog 02-20-2011 04:30 PM

Wood Brothers and Trevor Bayne....WOW

Al Bundy 02-20-2011 04:30 PM

Wow... congratulations to Trevor Bayne. Tony Stewart wiped out some really good cars.

Bugeater 02-20-2011 04:30 PM

Trevor ****ing Bayne? And wtf happened to Tony and Mark?

kstater 02-20-2011 04:31 PM

LMAO He doesn't know what to do.

Dylan 02-20-2011 04:31 PM

I can't believe a Rookie Won the Daytona 500!!!!

Tear that car up!!!

Uneffn real!

I am impressed. Maybe Bobby can have a good year again for a change.

Wyatt Earp 02-20-2011 04:32 PM

Awesome! Wood Brothers back in victory lane! 1 2 3 finish for Ford!

Al Bundy 02-20-2011 04:33 PM

Ford has Tony Stewart to thank for for running at the top.

TrebMaxx 02-20-2011 04:34 PM

Congrats to the Wood brothers and Trevor. Great run at the end for my man Carl.

GoHuge 02-20-2011 04:34 PM

Now that was cool! Great job Trevor and cool to see the Wood Brother's back in victory lane. Second Cup start........Daytona 500 Champion. Can't write a better story!

kstater 02-20-2011 04:34 PM

LMAO He doesn't get any points because he's racing for the Busch championship.

Dylan 02-20-2011 04:35 PM

That was FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!

Way to go Trevor!!

He took 4th, but at the end, he went for the win so i cant blame him for submitting 2nd at the end. So glad he got a top 5 finish. Its been a while. He says he has better equipment this year. Hopefully he can be competitive. Promsing start to the season for him.

Bugeater 02-20-2011 04:36 PM

What a ripoff. I want my money back.

Spott 02-20-2011 04:37 PM

That's great seeing someone win that in only their second start. Woods Brothers totally deserves it.

Dylan 02-20-2011 04:37 PM

I knew I liked him in Nationwide last year

He's running F/T in Nationwide and 17 races in Cup in 2011

Your guy got his moneys worth by causing the last couple of wrecks :)

16. TREVOR BAYNE: If you want to be among the first to pull for this promising rookie, you could reap the rewards down the line. There's few things more satisfying than rooting for a team or athlete before they've achieved anything of note, then tag along for the ride to the top. Bayne is a polite young guy with a load of potential (and is vocal about his religion, for those of you who are into that). He'll drive a partial Cup schedule this season. (** I read that Trevor is planning to drive 17 Cup races for the Wood Brothers this season – though he could drive more if they find sponsorship. He's been recognized throughout the garage as a very talented rookie driver. Carl Edwards, Kevin Harvick among others have reached out to him. I'm not sure -- but I think Trevor drives for Roush Fenway in Nationwide -- I could be wrong)
Ayep

Dylan 02-20-2011 04:40 PM

Damn, he's one of the most valuable pushers all day long! And now he's a Daytona 500 winner!!! Wow

Shit, it didn't even help him. On that last restart it looked like it was all set up for him and he and Mark just went backwards, he didn't even finish in the top 10.

GoHuge 02-20-2011 04:43 PM

Just wish we could run these plate races as a 50 lap sprint. Would wreck as many cars and would be exciting from the green flag. Great finish though.....as they always are.
