Theres smoke that they are interested in trading Albert, why not discuss it? I said I don't want them to, they probably won't. |
Gosder Cherilus is a FA too.

they'd create a hole that needs to be filled with the first pick. Creating their own biggest need unnecessarily. Either Bowe or Albert was getting the tag. They signed the better player. |

I don't knwo that giving big money to Andre Smith would be the best idea.
|
They will not trade Albert.
Than they would have two holes to fill on the o line. If Albert is forced to play RT im fine with him holding out because he is a LT and not a RT |
Both Andre Smith or Jake Long would make sense at RT but then again the cap number for them could be very interesting in the long run.
The thing is penbook is that we can draft a LT at #1 and bring in a FA at RT... Albert may not be forced to move to RT. |
Shouldn't we be factoring in that Dorsey came from a place that didn't throw money around?

Ahhh, the plot sickens.

Would of been nice to.have released Alex Smith and cassel with him.

Look at the depth of the offensive line and tell me this guy is what you say he is and that they just cut him. Texans fans said the same damn things. Guess what? They still went to the playoffs last year without him. |

Cincy has the most cap room of any NFL team right now. If they let him walk, that would be a red flag, considering how well he played.

The minute he gets paid, he's turning into you circa 2006. |
I think the Chiefs will pick up a few guys in the FA market but as a whole we will get players through the draft. If we go off of what Dorsey believes in the Packer philosophy, it is the draft where we will make our name.
With that said, the way we are clearing cap space, it is apparent we are going to dabble in the FA market. |

Money isn't going to change him, he already has money. This is a young, ascending player who has gotten better every year in the league. I hope the Chiefs sign him and you and Dane weep and gnash your teeth. |

It got on to Albert because of the talk about what this meant for the draft and the RT spot ect and then people posted Albert's tweets which seemed to be in reaction to this stuff which lead to the comment about him. |

Any team that invests 8-10 million dollar in a RT position is ****ing stupid. |
Reid values bookend tackles, either he sees something in someone on the roster, or we are about to spend some money on the spot.

I'm glad to see this clown, leave town. (I'm not a rapper.) Winston's play was average at best last year. He became a liability in the passing game and was not as effective in the run game as he had previously been with the Houston Texans. When you go 2-14 shit has to change. Nobody is safe.
For the most part, Winston is a smart, well-spoken guy. But on October 7th 2012 after a loss to the Ravens, he lost his cool in a post game interview, and threw the entire Chiefs fan base under the bus. I don't give a shit if he was standing up for a teammate. You don't come to my city that you know NOTHING about, and bash our fan base. You keep your goddamn mouth shut, and take the loss like a man. Without us paying your multi-million dollar salary you wouldn't be anything. Winston was set to earn $4.9 million this season, the second year of a four-year, $22 million deal. Cutting Winston saves the Chiefs $700k in cap space, and $4.9 million in cash. Andy Reid places a lot of value on the offensive line. One of his very first moves when he was hired by Philadelphia was to make Jon Runyan the highest paid offensive lineman of all time (at the time). He's spent a pair of first round picks on the line, as well as traded a first round pick for Jason Peters and paid him big money. A number of different things can happen now, but I think Reid will go after the former overall number 1 pick from the Miami Dolphins, left tackle Jake Long. He suffered a back injury and a torn right bicep last year which landed him on injured reserve. Long is a 4 time pro-bowler in his short 5 year career. At 6'7 320lbs he is exactly the type of player Andy Reid likes in his scheme. A big, beefy lineman that is an athletic pass blocker. Eric Winston is primarily a run-blocker, and a whiny bitch. A lot of people think that Luke Joeckel or Eric Fisher are complete locks for the number 1 pick now, but I still disagree. I believe there is a better chance that Jake Long or another free agent end up here instead. Reid and Dorsey will do everything possible to get out of that number 1 pick. We just have to hope that a team falls in love with someone enough to trade with us. Don't let the door hit you on the way out, Winston. |

Keep in mind that the Donald Stephenson has some talent in KC and could definitely factor into the starting RT spot with Winston gone. Expand Lance Zierlein @LanceZierlein If Stephenson ends up being the athletic, inexpensive option at RT for KC, then Albert could still be shopped. I still think Chiefs take LT Expand |
