Sucks big time for our peeps flying in. |
If there is a chance of 2 inches of friggin' ice, is there a chance they postpone till Monday do you think? I mean if the city is paralyzed by the weather, and power outtages are everywhere, seems kinda stupid to try to have a football game...it would be different with snow, but this could potentially be a whole other animal...

What's the news out of PITT regarding the storm. |

Missouri
Gov. Eric Greitens activated the state Emergency Operations Center Thursday as Missourians prepared for major impacts from Jupiter, particularly ice. "Everyone should be aware that this potential weather event could disrupt travel and cause power outages across the state," Greitens said in a statement. It's starting to sound like the NFL might have to postpone this game...Steelers probably arent going to be able to fly in on Saturday. |

maybe the airlines and KCI are overreacting too?

if the game was canceled and I'm not saying it will be - but if it were - they'd absolutely play on Monday night.

It makes perfect sense. Just owning a tree does not make you inherently liable. You have liability insurance on your insurance policy and then you have coverage for your own damage at your set deductible. Your LIABILITY insurance will ONLY pay for someone ELSES damages if you are at fault. You know, just like your auto liability insurance does. People would always lose their shit when they found out their neighbors liability insurance would not pay for their damage, and they instead had to go through their own policy and pay their deductible. Now if it's a dead tree or has ongoing problematic issues, that can be a different story. But any healthy tree will be prone to losing limbs in an ice storm or in 30-40mph+ winds. 95% of the time, it's going to be an act of nature. If a tornado picks up your car, and flings it 7 houses down the road into the side of their house, you wouldn't try to sue the owner of the car would you? Same thought process. |
Of course there will be a power outage for the biggest game in 20 years

Well, maybe Coats and Eskimos instead. |
I had a 22KW gen installed in August. It tests itself every Wednesday and all seems to be ready. I dont really want to test it but hopefully, it will do its thing if we need it.

I might have, like 3 extra ticket and I will sell them for $20 each. Like, $150 seats. I paid $160 for them . FOR $20 but you just have to wait to find out.

How the hell are the Steelers fans gonna get there if ours can't??
|
The NFL doesn't give a Rat's Ass about the safety of the fans. NBC has paid a boat load of doe for that game at Noon Sunday, and as long as the players are there, they will play at Noon Sunday. If you can't make it to the ice rink, that's your problem. Clark already has your money.

Both of ^those^ are probably at least a little true. But that place will STILL be packed, just wait. |
20% chance on sat 90 on Sunday with a high of 38.
I think people have snookered themselves. |
just my opinion.

I think there will be a large movement of tickets by and before Friday evening. Mostly local. It'll get loud still. Maybe down some - but it'll be plenty loud I bet.

WILL still be louder than Heinz on it best day
