Bill self always has one of the top strength of schedules every year. This game hurts our chances of getting a one seed. Bill Self is definitely not a coward when scheduling is concerned.

In football, this is an end of year bowl game. Missouri is getting paid less and I guarantee mu won't sellout their bowl game. I feel pretty strong about kansas and Arkansas selling out their bowl game. MU needs kansas but drink is a loser. It is hilarious. Maybe one of the biggest bitch moves I have seen a university take. Take a lesser bowl to not lose to an x rival. Weak.

Happy we could get the W for you guys after your heartbreaking blown lead home loss against the powerhouse that's Mizzou hoops.

Nah, I'll just wait to watch it.

Plenty of time to discuss other things in the meantime... the team can 'worry' about them. Watch tape on how Liberty beat them or something.

WSU lost to a Mizzou team that can't guard a ball screen. Probably not the time to start talking.

Mizzou and WSU have no Head Coach. So Iowa and Nebraska hates you guys as well? I can see why your base is so inward looking. Oh well. You guys really are the Northeast Kansas Jayhawks.

The reeruned antlers hate KU so much, they'll harass a women's CBB team 9 hours before the game thinking it's KU's (because you know, Kansas is going to show up 9 hours early).

I wonder if antlers graduate to table smashing Mafia at some point.

I get that Kansas fans are excited about their first .500 win season since the Bush administration, but let’s not overlook the fact that they lost 6 of their last 7 games, mostly in blowout fashion. They had a decent first half of the season, but they seem to be trending back downward again.

That’s not KU hate or MU stupidity. Those are just facts. I can’t help it those facts make some people uncomfortable and they don’t like to hear it.

What do past years and past coaches have to do with this team and the future?

They won more games this season than the last three combined, even with the starting QB going down halfway through the year, and you’re claiming they’re not trending up. Can’t make this stuff up. LMAO

I am happy with not playing missouri. I just find it hilarious that missouri were cowards and took a lessor bowl to not have the chance to lose to ku. It really made my day. Have fun at your half empty bowl game. Missouri really missed the mark on their football and basketball hires.

A lot of the "WSU" fans here in Wichita from when Gregggggg had that lucky stretch where unranked guys turned out to be drastically under recruited have already pivoted back to KU pretending they never left.

Nice we could have this thread after all these years.

Gave Missouri football fans something to talk about with the whole dodging KU thing, which I'm sure boosted that thread into relevance for a week.

Huge week for Missouri hoops, being on TV and giving the antler douches something to do.

I would have been kicked out of my home if I ever rooted for KU . . . . . . .

Survival instincts kicked in.

Pepe Silvia 12-12-2022 09:31 AM

The truth is the reason I never flipped was because KU used to choke in the tourney a lot and I was like “Well that doesn’t look much better.” So I stuck with MU. Of course you guys had to go on and win a couple National Championships and screw it up.

This just shows how dumb your arguments are. Liepold was signed late last year. He didn't even have a chance to recruit. And take into account what a dumpster fire Beatty and previous coaches left and you get a good idea of how this year has been amazing, bordering on a miracle. Other KU fans have pointed out to you how losing our starting QB has been the main cause of a lot of those losses. Hell, they had a chance at the end to beat TCU. But you choose to ignore those factors like a typical dumb ass hater.
Most KU fans didn't expect KU to be this good this fast because we knew what state the program was in when Liepold was hired. He is ahead of schedule.

Have you heard, the Jayhawks lost 6 our of 7 and some of those games they lost by double digits.

Wasn't sure if you had heard the Jayhawks lost 6 our of 7 and some of those games they lost by double digits, so just wanted to tell you the Jayhawks lost 6 our of 7 and some of those games they lost by double digits in case no one had mentioned in this thread that the Jayhawks lost 6 our of 7 and some of those games they lost by double digits.

Just don't bring up the minor point about losing their starting QB for several games as that's just an excuse for why the Jayhawks lost 6 our of 7 and some of those games they lost by double digits. Just stick to the facts, the Jayhawks lost 6 our of 7 and some of those games they lost by double digits.

Seems like a miserable experience as a fan if you really have those expectations, especially for any team that goes several years between anything resembling success, such as both KU and MU football.

Guess I should have shouted at clouds for two months, demanding a backup QB to "just be better" and thrown shit at the TV, instead of saying "shit, well it was fun while it lasted" and found other things to do on Saturdays.

I obviously have a lot to learn, but will try to be more miserable next season.

If you think Kansas FB's point differential of -77 over 7 games is huge, just think about KU BB's point differential of +65 in the 2 games against Missouri.

Lol.

I honestly don't care either way.

This is all started with several KU fans flooding the Mizzou football thread because they were sad/mad that Mizzou told them 'no'. It all escalated from there.

I fully expect you all to be in the thread of the university you care nothing about anymore whenever something negative happens associated with said university.

Likewise, I'm sure it will be reciprocated when the shoe is on the other foot.

Ya know, I think that's a perfect question to ask in this thread:
****Official Mizzou Football 2022-2023 Thread****

They have been talking a ton about Kansas sports lately and I feel like if anyone knows for sure if Kansas lost 6 out of 7 (and some games by double digits), those guys could confirm.

I feel like they are a very welcoming bunch, too, and love when visitors stop by, even when it's a bit off topic.

BE BETTER

And they were.

I'm just dying to see him use the backup QB excuse. Or to say that past teams have nothing to do with this one. LMAO

I'd argue the majority of KC fans ARE obsessed with Denver to some degree based on the Donkos thread being the longest running, most populated and most posted in thread on ChiefsPlanet for quite some time now.

Elway and that fanbase have left some permanent scars that are still healing . . . . .

Congrats on your one win in 7 games . . . . . .

A few are, sure. But some (like me) just like to laugh at them. After years of arrogance, it's funny to see them completely humbled.

People are obsessed with trolls, not sure they're obsessed with the Broncos.

I've had fun in this thread, but to jump to me "being obsessed with Missouri".... uh, no. Can't remember the last MU football game I watched (maybe an SEC Championship game) and the only BB game I've watched in years was the KU game last season.

Doesn't mean I can't have some fun at Missouri's expense every once in a while, but they're as irrelevant as ever in both sports (similar to the Broncos and Raiders rivalries with the Chiefs).

Thanks. So they were awesome when they were 5-0, then suddenly started playing badly, but it had nothing to do with their QB getting injured during their first loss. Does that accurately summarize your position?:D

Agree completely on your last statement. It's generally the only reason I ever post in there. Just to rub a little salt in the wound when the opportunity presents itself (which has been quite often).

I think your 'awesome' had more to do with the fact that your schedule was front loaded with the Big 12 garbage (Iowa St. & West Virginia) and non-cons like Tennessee Tech and Houston. Duke was an okay win. When you hit the 'meat' of your schedule and the good teams started rolling in you promptly went 1-6 to close out the year.

I think the above accurately summarizes my position.

Wait, so you are saying that there WAS a conversation about playing KU in a bowl game and MU said "No we don't want to play them"?

I'm saying Mizzou told them to 'get bent' or '**** off', whichever you prefer, much like Kansas and Bill Self spent half a decade saying the same thing to Mizzou after they left for the SEC.

And the convo (and decision) was a joint decision between the Mizzou Administration and the SEC, it had nothing to do with the coaches or players.

Yes, I think we all acknowledge that the second half of the schedule was much harder. Many schools would have struggled to win more than a game or two in that stretch, healthy or not.

But that makes your "6 of 7" point irrelevant. It's not that they were playing far better in the beginning or far worse down the stretch, it's that they lost to talented opponents. Which neuters your entire argument about trending in the wrong direction, see.

A program clearly on the rise!!

It’s a dumb argument anyway. Sagarin has Iowa State -7 and WVU -3 against Mizzouche. If Stinkwitz played our schedule he’d have not made a bowl

Agree to disagree.

Guess we'll find out next year, huh?

Good luck against Arkansas, that 'patsie' that Mizzou just beat . . . . . .

So you disagree that a program that won more games in one season than in the last three combined is on the rise?

Worst Power 5 program in FBS over the last decade (even after this year)

Why do you keep repeating that? Do you think it makes KU fans wince or cry or something?

LMAO
