I've been getting a solo campaign mode save glitch in CODWaW.

It says: "save data not compatible with this version of the game"

So it doesn't save at checkpoints or if I "save and quit"
It only saves at new mission points (where the illustrated narrative occurs).

So each time I play I have to go until the next chapter or I start back at the beginning of that chapter :cuss:

Same things been happening to me.

what the hell. Is there a patch or update that's not auto-loading?
Any other game within three weeks of getting it, one day you fire it up and it says "a new update for this game exists" and you load that and you're on your way.

I wonder if you have to go to a menu to check for updates. Kind of like you have to to DL the new PS operating systems now.

Yeah, me too. That's why I've been playing the SOLO section as of late.

Are you home? I can try to help you figure out your MP problem now (I was out of town over the weekend when you PSN'd me)

I don't know what the story is on this crap. I have only been able to connect with one person as far as a party goes. I can play online all I want though. As soon as I send an invite or somebody invites me... NADA.

My Nat is fine though. Type 2. All ports needed for PSN are open and I even have the PS3 on DMZ

Does anyone know of a cheaper alternative for extra controllers than the $55 for a new six-axis? I would like to add a second controller but would not be using it all that often. I have looked around and have only found the cheesy third party ones so far.

Also Gamestop has Battlefield: Bad Company on sale new for $20. The reviews seem pretty positive but wanted to check here before picking it up on the way home from work.

there are several, just google them and read reviews.

You can also find the Six-Axis much cheaper on ebay or elsewhere online.

I own it for the 360 and it's my favorite FPS. Awesome online if that's what you're into.

Nice. I will have to keep an eye out for something like that.

Hey Miles, what's your PSN ID? Can I add you up top?

I still haven't gotten around to signing up even though I bought my PS3 around 6 months ago. I will probably get around to it if I ever pick up a good online game.

Tiny,

I have a buddy who's power supply apparently just shot craps. Sony is telling him $300 to fix it and a couple of months of waiting.

Are there any other option for him?
