Really? Gets old quick IMO.

Run and run and run and run then trap and shoot and shoot and shoot and die. No side objectives. No story line. Pay as you go upgrade/character customimization.
Not all that impressed.

There's one in particular that's ****ing awesome. Stealing a fighter jet off an aircraft carrier while 10 or so jets try to shoot you down. Danger Zone starts playing during the dog fight.

is it just me or is console gaming just not what it used to be?

yeah, the ps4 looks amazing and runs nice and fast but like where are the games?

I'm sick and tired of these definitive editions and all the new games that came out in the last few months kind of been quite meh to say the least.

I'm not gonna lie, I liked destiny but it was nowhere near what I thought it would be. AC unity kinda sucks, COD AW is the same shit, GTA 5 is pretty nice but it's still an old game they redid. Far cry 4 looks beautiful but seems very repetitive and lacking something, Dying light was hyped up and cool for a week then I never touched it again. I stopped buying games after that, Evolve looked like shit and The order is supposedly terrible.

These games are so over hyped and expensive now, I'm just sick of it. I hope metal gear and uncharted live up to expectations but console gaming just doesn't feel the same.

I can't argue a whole hell of a lot here. The life span of the console is what, 7-10 years? The PS3 came out in 2006 and was probably the most amazing technology leap for consoles in history. When the system arrived, there were very few games. Things like Medal of Honor and Resistance were the systems launch titles. The system matured over two years and finally hit its peak around 2012 with hundreds of games, (it's second smaller peak hit two years ago).

Right now there are very few real AAA titles but the system is still in its infancy. I expect big things from both PS4 and XBone but right now, they're not where they need to be. A lot of the titles are rehashed. I do have to admit that the streaming games from PSNow are really f'ing great and they get more and more titles every week.

I just wonder how they can up themselves next gen... crazy to think about what console gaming could be

VR is that next leap IMO...Morpheus looks awesome. I personally can't wait for it.
