That change was totally nonsensical. Not even talking about leaning way harder into the "woke" aspects of it, it just totally doesn't fit at all with the story they're telling.

What? No, I'm talking about Ellie getting all hot and bothered and finger blasting Dina instead of being pissed off and scared at the news.

Sure, it could happen a bit later since they really seem to be stretching this over 2 full seasons but regardless that's a very, very, very odd response considering they're well into the mission to track down Abby.

If that was the angle they wanted to play they should've had Dina reveal it to Elly BEFORE Joel got murdered so she could get progressively more pissed as Dina started to slow down more and more.

The game, as trash as it was, still managed to make sense on the reveal. Ellie handled the news poorly, in an assholish, but entirely understandable way.

If you handle the news with this fingerblast session and "I'm gonna be a dad" horseshit, then this should be the cue for these characters to let go of their revenge mission and go home.

Game Ellie was in terminator mode at this point of the story and furious now that she had to worry about a baby being lost.

Show Ellie is just beyond all logic or reason. Like holy **** I'd ask how can this get any dumber but I'm afraid they'll tell me to hold their beer.
