He was a fan favorite. But, the poor guy kept getting recruited over. I wish he were still here. But, it's still a question mark if he can produce during big time games.

The ISU program definitely has the track record and pedigree of 6 conference titles since joining the league (Big8/Big12) in 1907. With accomplishments like that, it's easy to see how you would think the conference goes through Ames.

Deepest and most rounded team Fred has had yet. For the first time he has height, and plenty of it. It's gonna be Lob City and raining threes while for the first time having a player that can protect the rim and block shots.

Freshman PG Morris shattered the assist to turnover record last year.
We bring in UNLV's leading scorer and assist man to replace Kane.
Nader who sat out last year and was reguarded as the best player on the team
Hogue came as a Juco last year and went into beast mode tournament time.
Niang I'm sure you know plenty about, will be better his junior year
McKay is the shot blocker I was talking about, Niang says he's just like his old teammate Noel, but he's better on offense.

Then we also have Long and Thomas returning. Last year Ejim and Niang were the only two guys with experience we had... For the first time Fred returns a lot of experience. Oh and the 7'1" guy we got from Greece that several teams including all the Pro teams in Europe tried signing. Fred says he likes him because he can run the floor and shoot well.
