It would open the door for years ... the door through which hundreds of money-grubbing, gold diggers with phones would start baiting players to say something untoward in order to extort them for their NFL salary.

I don't believe the NFLPA is cool with that idea. Every one of those guys has either been victimized in a similar way ... or knows someone who has. Hell, a dozen owners have probably been threatened in a comparable manner.

That is not how you want to open a new CBA negotiation.

You try to make it sound like they said the same thing but then you provide proof that it isnt what he said at all. Reporting that he'd be at training camp (Tom P) is not the same thing as saying he'd play in 2019 (Marty)

I think Tyreek should spend a full day speaking with a law firm that specializes in defending people who have been wrongly accused and defamed. Perhaps the NFL might learn that without a conviction that, well, Tyreek might be able to have his day in court. He might not win, but what could it hurt?
