Can you blame Heyward. Outside of Grichuk, Piscotty, and maybe Wong, who will be taking the field for the Cardinals in a couple years? Their best position prospects are still in rookie and LoA ball.

wainwright? didn't sound like sour grapes at all to me.
sec

News flash: The Cubs can afford to make a 3 year gamble on someone like Heyward.

Meanwhile, the Cards just spent close to $100M on a #4 pitcher and have him a full NTC.

I'M glad that with all the options available they chose hi. That should tell you something ROFL The guy simply can't hit unless it's a complete meaningless moment. But hey phony stats now give guys ridiculous contracts for being able to catch balls right at him.

Come out publicly to question the best position player on the market character traits right after he skips town for your biggest rival and not sour? Suuuuuuure.

I'm confused. The Cardinals chose him too. But he didn't choose the Cardinals. What is that suppose to tell me?

How the **** does that even make sense when he took LESS money? It's pretty clear who is the dumb one, here.

Pasta Little Brioni 12-24-2015 10:28 AM

Makes as much sense as taking less money to play for that pathetic organization

I honestly don't think it's sour grapes. Would Waino and the Cardinals want Heyward? Sure. But if you have ever been in a leadership position, you know that there are people that shy away from the spotlight. When you are looking for that alpha dog, he can't shy away from it. The Cubs are going to be a force for years to come, but it won't be because of Heyward.

You couldn't be much more diplomatic than Wainwright was in that interview.

Pasta Little Brioni 12-24-2015 11:55 AM

Best position player on the market ROFL That's a pretty sad statement either way

Prison Bitch 12-24-2015 12:02 PM

Steamer projections have Cubs sitting at 99 wins in 2016. If they miss the playoffs or fall early it'll be really embarrassing for them.

Pasta Little Brioni 12-24-2015 12:07 PM

Those projections sites are dumb as ****. Weren't the Royals supposed to be a sub 80 win team last year?
