2. Encourage the usual suspects to consider lightening up their behavior throughout the year if they knew there was a possibility of a user-imposed ban.
3. Empower regulars to have a say in who they wanted to be gone - one vote, one day.

But we hear you guys. You can put down the pitchforks and torches. The issue is being discussed in the castle.
