Exactly. Who cares about meaningless ypa or completion percentage or any other worthless bullshit stat. The only on that matters is points scored. I don't care is Smith throws the ball two yards per play as a long as we score more per game. It will come back and bite us more than few games if we don't get more TD's. That is the only job of the QB running the offense. Get TD'S and Smith has not shown the ability while he's been here to do that enough.

11. QB Alex Smith has an adjusted completion percentage of 78.2, fifth-best for quarterbacks.

Alex Smith has gained a reputation for throwing short passes, and rightfully so. This year, his 7.3-yard average depth of target is tied for the league’s lowest mark. On the bright side, he has been throwing those short passes very accurately. This week he faces a Colts team who has the lowest coverage rating by PFF standards, so Smith may have an opportunity to extend that accuracy to the intermediate and deep levels.

Completion percentage should improve even more with the reps and the favorable schedule.

Also, you Want to change your prediction on the game?

7.3 yards on 78% of attempts moves the chains and puts points on the board. It's how the west coast offense is supposed to work. You may not like it, but Andy is calling plays exactly how the west coast offense is setup to do,

ROFL

Except you know, last week, when we scored all of 17 points.

Or you know, all of this year, when right now we sit at below average or worse in almost every offensive category.

When will you homers start to get it?

Our redzone offense needs to get better to beat really good teams in big moments. That isn't just on Smith. The playcalling has a long way to go in that department.

You were wrong about this season. You were wrong last season (and got banned for dumbassery).

When will YOU start to get it, Clay?

So far I've been dead on picking every game correctly but one. I've been dead on about our defensive decline and the offense still being a POS.

Keep doubling down on Alex Smith, because he isn't changing anytime soon. This is mediocre team headed for 9-7 or 10-6 and playoff failure, which is exactly what I predicted.

WTF are you guys talking about stats? All Alex does is win!

And with a .576 record, like the Colossus of Rhodes or the Titan of Bravos, clearly he deserves a statue erected in his honor.

That record is even more amazing when you think about the shitty defenses he's had to carry...

SF with Patrick Willis, Bowman, Justin Smith, etc?

The Chiefs of the past several years?

Thank God this gunslinger was under center to carry those teams to a slightly winning record!

RunKC 10-28-2016 07:51 AM

Let's look at this in detail:

2nd half drives

-FG
-Harris crucial drop ending the drive. Punt
-Andy goes in a shell. 4/6 plays from this drive are all runs.
-FG

The offense stalling is on Andy and Harris this week.

RunKC 10-28-2016 07:53 AM

Also don't see the issue with the Raiders game. Offense did its part in that game. Santos cost us 4 points which would have put us with 30.

Well I guess that solves it. He has had little to nothing to do with any of the wins here or SF. We should cut him after this year.

Thanks for the brilliant insight.
