Aaron Hernandez, already jailed in Massachusetts on murder charges and under investigation there in connection with two more murders, is also being investigated in Florida and could face charges in shootings there, according to a report Monday afternoon.

Citing sources, George Colli, a reporter for Hartford, Conn.’s WVIT-TV, tweeted that police are looking into Hernandez's possible involvement in more cases.

That report came on the same day that authorities searched a lake in Bristol, Conn., Hernandez’s hometown, for a murder weapon. Divers searched the bottom of the lake and metal detectors were used on and near the shore.

As a freshman at Florida in 2007, Hernandez and other players was questioned in a double shooting in Gainesville, but charges were never filed against him, and the case remains open.

Hernandez is also being sued in civil court by a Connecticut man who said that the former Patriots tight end shot him last February in south Florida and cost him the use of an eye. The accuser, Alexander Bradley, testified before a Massachusetts grand jury earlier this month. Charges were never filed in that case.

With the way that situation happened it doesn't seem shocking at all that it wouldn't be the first time he was involved in something like this.

It's amazing to me. I mean...how in the **** did he ever get away with it before? It's not like he's slick.

This guy is implicated in at least 5 shootings.

That's one busy dude.

Yes...easily it can be established that that's a gun. Hell give the clip of the video with multiple frames of the gun in it and I'm pretty sure I could sharpen up the image enough to establish it's a gun beyond a reasonable doubt. You would be amazed at what technology can do in the world of image enhancement. It's all about how much money you want to spend to do it.

I'm guessing that the pictures released to the public probably won't be jury photo's
