And is it even appropriate for a newspaper to write articles...."If someone is guilty of unsubstantiated crime ABC, then XYZ must happen"? What's the purpose in that if not to prematurely bury a person?

So you would have them not report on news when it drops? That’s their job.
What Pryor and Rosen did was shitty and they deserve every piece of criticism thrown their way, but bitching at Mellinger for his piece doesn’t make sense.
He clearly said “If the allegations were true, Chiefs should release Tyreek.”
Sam was actually fair in his article as seen here:

We should pause here to recognize that the picture is still muddy. A police report and DCF investigation does not necessarily mean a crime was committed, and Hill has not been charged. You know how this works. But the parameters are heartbreaking. Life-altering. If true, the result is awful, most of all for the child and mother.

This is the story I’m referring to. The first one Sam wrote.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Wrote about Tyreek Hill. The first thing we all do is hope this isn't true. The second thing we'll have to do is deal with it if it is. <a href="https://t.co/jdRIAjwHUJ">https://t.co/jdRIAjwHUJ</a></p>— Sam Mellinger (@mellinger) <a href="https://twitter.com/mellinger/status/1106724255922835463?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">March 16, 2019</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
I’ll look at the following ones to see if he said something stupid, but I don’t see anything wrong with this first one.
