Why does California have a university named Pennsylvania State?

RealSNR 04-27-2013 01:47 PM

No clue who this guy is.

Doesn't seem to be anything that Luke Patterson couldn't do.

KCUnited 04-27-2013 01:47 PM

Hali, Houston, and Kelce love this selection.

saphojunkie 04-27-2013 01:47 PM

This is Kush!

the Talking Can 04-27-2013 01:47 PM

i think he is from California college in Pennsylvania...?

or vice versa

Reaper16 04-27-2013 01:47 PM

Kush is a zone blocking center only. Solid guy.

Imon Yourside 04-27-2013 01:47 PM

At this point I think Pissoli is advising us still.

Actually, he's from CALU (Pennsylvania State). The school is located in Aalborg, Denmark.

keg in kc 04-27-2013 02:06 PM

He likes to off-road in his jeep, shoot guns and fish. Instant fan favorite.

Also sounds like he can play anywhere on the interior line. So maybe not a bad pick.

I guess we're either sticking with Stanzi/Tanney or we think we can get somebody at the end of the round.

DJ's left nut 04-27-2013 02:10 PM

Well I guess that's our Colin Brown pick.

I like that they addressed the C position; I'm not just going to give that gig to Hudson like so many seem willing to do.

That all said - that's why Barrett Jones would've been a great pick instead of Davis.

I like competition for Hudson, but I don't see how this guy provides it. And I guess Bray and Rogers just suck on ice - eh? I mean the Rogers thing confuses the hell out of me. The kid led the SEC in receptions as a Sophomore. Surely there's talent there.

ShowtimeSBMVP 04-27-2013 02:10 PM

Mike Garafolo ‏@MikeGarafolo 19s

Swapped him for Demps. RT @tomecurran: Patriots trade for LeGarrette Blount.

If I had to guess at this line it will be Fisher, Albert, Hudson, Asamoah, Schwartz

It's not worth the time trying to understand the Chiefs logic when it comes to building a football team.

Tyler Bray, Zach Dysert and Matt Scott still available. We've got a 29 year old injury prone QB who's unlikely to lead this team to anything but its too risky to pick one of those QBs in the 6th round. Better grab a center that no one has probably ever seen a picture of.

tk13 04-27-2013 02:14 PM

David Shaw is sitting in on the NFL Network. Somebody has to hire this guy away from Stanford eventually.

The Bad Guy 04-27-2013 02:14 PM

Lots of analysis from draft guys that they liked Kush better than Jones

gblowfish 04-27-2013 02:16 PM

You know what makes me mad? Every time I look up at the highlights they play on NFL Network, its either some guy running roughshod over the Chiefs, or some college player punking Mizzou.

Man, no wonder I'm always in a bad mood.

Draft a tackle and put a player suited to guard at RT?

Great plan.

That bitch Fisher can take a back seat to a real LT or Reid is a buffoon.

keg in kc 04-27-2013 02:19 PM

I'd keep Albert at LT and play Fisher on the right.

I'm a fan. He comes across as very well spoken and even keeled. Plus he has plenty of NFL experience... coached for several years under Gruden and Billick. And Harbaugh, of course.

This is depressing. One can argue this is exactly what Pioli would have done. LT, trade for conservative game manager and then pick a TE with the third pick.

Good fuking lord.

lcarus 04-27-2013 02:26 PM

Seems like they always go to commercial when the Chiefs are on the clock.

Chiefaholic 04-27-2013 02:27 PM

How the heck is Da'Rick Rogers still on the board? If he's there for our comp pick we HAVE to take him. Then take Dysert or Bray with the next pick

This. Fisher should start at RT. Only thing that makes sense. He can swing to LT in 2014.

I'm use to it already.

Reid and Dorsey got so hyped up its not even funny. Reid comes in and throws away our picks on a QB who's been benched by the worst of the worst.

He comes in all arrogant and giving contracts left and right to mediocre players. Like I said Sean Smith, Anthony Fasano and Donnie Avery are all average. Those guys are nothing special by any means. He filled our holes with players that don't belong on Super Bowl teams.

You don't build a team through free agency, they hit the market for a reason. Some people are clueless. Our draft has been the worst I've seen in years. Don't let anyone fool you, Reid was let go for a reason. He's highly overrated at this point in his career.

Explain your logic.

keg in kc 04-27-2013 02:31 PM

I don't see much of a reason to get bent out of shape about this guy. It's a 6th round pick, and he was apparently projected in this range (even though I'd never heard of him before today...).

Regarding the draft as a whole, I still hate the Alex Smith trade and think it's a move that can kill the entire offseason on its own, and I don't understand the Knile Davis pick at all, but otherwise the picks they've made this weekend are at least justifiable if not outright good.

Mr. Laz 04-27-2013 02:31 PM

Da'rick Rogers
Tyler Bray

I think we better keep him away from our TE pick. Understand he's got a bit of a taste for the herb.

Latest news!! Albert & the*#Chiefs could be working on an extension to keep him in KC for the foreseeable future. What a crazy few weeks.

Giants have clearly been doing it all wrong. Clearly.

They'd be winning more SBs if they copied the Chiefs way of building a winning organization.

Cardinals pick another RB. Ellington out of Clemson. Man the NFC West is going to be loaded. If ARZ had a QB they'd be dangerous, and they still would possibly be the 4th best team in that division.

KChiefs1 04-27-2013 02:46 PM

Dysert, Zac (QB)Miami (OH)83.5
Ellington, Andre (RB)Clemson79.7
Thomas, Chase (OLB)Stanford79.4
Fragel, Reid (OT)Ohio St.77.0
Rogers, Da'Rick (WR)Tennessee Tech74.4
Poyer, Jordan (CB)Oregon St.74.0
Jefferson, Tony (FS)Oklahoma73.2
Kruger, Joe (DE)Utah73.0
Hamilton, Cobi (WR)Arkansas72.9
Summers-Gavin, Matt (OG)California72.7

Mecca 04-27-2013 02:49 PM

Seeing as these guys don't have a problem taking character issue guys just take da'rick and be done with it...and I think Reid think Bray is to stupid to play for him.

That always works so well.
Wasn't it last year that Pioli added all the pieces so Cassel couldn't fail?

Just once, it would be nice if the team had a QB that made the other players less likely to fail.

This.

Can we please start looking for QBs that make their teammates better rather than using teammates to make a single player better?

One guy that makes 10 others better is a hell of a lot more efficient than 10 guys designed to make 1 better.

This is two straight regimes that have come in, brought in a mediocre alternative at a high price, and then proceeded to burn through draft picks in a desperate attempt to justify the move. It doesn't work so well.

And which QB in this draft would have been capable of doing that?

I'll grant that Alex Smith is probably not the answer for our woes, but I am pretty confident that there isn't a QB in the draft that would fill the bill either.
