Eat shit Guillen, you lying sack of shit. The guy is the ultimate "me first" player. I've watched hundreds of cases where Jose Guillen failed to move a runner over with less than two out, swung at the first pitch he sees after previous batters had consecutive four ball BB.
I've seen him dog it to first base. I've seen him forced out at 2nd, 3rd and home. And while he was running his yap I'm sure another runner took an extra base. |

We need guys with a high OBP, and we need guys who can hit for power. Give me this combo, and we'll have a team that ranks a lot higher in runs scored. |
I don't blame Guillen. He's frustrated and sounds like he wants to WIN. Good for him. He's probably just trying to say that so he can go to a winning team, but I don't blame him for being pissed.

Colon with another o-fer tonight. 0 for 4 with 2 Ks. Rough start.
Melville falling back again, 4 IP, 4 hits, 4 BBs, 4 runs (2 earned) and only 2 Ks. Tyler Sample with a decent outing, 6 IP, no walks, 6 Ks and 3 ERs. |
Embarrasing and sad.
http://www.kmbc.com/news/24100582/detail.html Missouri officials say it was an unfortunate error that led to the destruction of a memorial in honor of great Royals closer Dan Quisenberry. The memorial, which included a tree, was established near Kauffman Stadium to honor the memory of Quisenberry. The Royals Hall of Famer died in 1998 from brain cancer. The following spring, kids with shovels and the Royals mascot helped plant a tree in his honor. The Missouri Department of Transportation put up a plaque. The tree and plaque are now gone. This after workers began work on building ramp off Interstate 70 to improve access to Kauffman Stadium. Royals officials were stunned to learn from KMBC about the destruction. They said they were not notified beforehand. State transportation officials say it was an unfortunate mistake. Crews are clearing the area of trees in preparation for the road work. Missouri officials promised that the state will work with the Royals to replace the tree and the plaque. MODOT officials have not said where the new memorial will be and how quickly they will correct this error. Royals spokesman Toby Cook said Quisenberry's widow, Janie, told the Royals that she is not upset by the mistake because her husband's memory will live in her heart forever. |
Fitting.
